[Zephyr]

the setting is a world, 8 times larger than Earth, that is home not only to humans, but to thousands and thousands of all sorts of wondrous species and races, with as many beautiful sights and places, and airships. The stories will focus around a crew of one such airship, the RAS Zephyr, as they travel around the world seeking treasures, new places, and above all else, adventure. Now let's get started!

background: he was born in Carricus, but his lineage traces back to Royal City, with a long line of Skylords tracing back to Lord Edward Vale, the first Skylord. Right now, he's gaining his experience and knowledge in order to someday be worthy to take the numerous tests and examinations to join the noble order of magisters.

Creatures

garrler: A beast-of-burden in most areas. They are large, quadrupedal lizards with blunt, flat heads and stubby tails. They have a tough, scaly (but soft) hide, which is dark gray-green in color. They are extremely muscular. They are easily tamed, and most of the province's wagons and carts.

roobrat: small rodent creature with two spindly tails and the ears of a bat, and the nose of a pig. Is usually a huge pest problem, often carrying diseases and annoyances. Is not very nutritious or delicious.

Factions/Organizations

Order of Midnight: an ancient and mostly secretive order of monks who believe they are the ones who will bring about the end of creation, and that they are the ones to do it. In the 400 years they've been active, they've made countless attempts to end the world, and so far, none of them have succeeded. The Queen has garrisoned several troops of her soldiers surrounding the Order's dark monastery, located half a world away, to move in and destroy the Order should their efforts ever show signs of fruition.


Landmarks and Special Settlements

The Ravine of Andris: the largest-known canyon on Messetiah. It is steeped in myth and mystery, and is said to have been created long ago when a giant meteor, containing mankind, collided with Messetiah and all the people emerged, and started society and history.

Ethos Islands: a collection of floating islands high above the clouds. Nobody knows where there are, but legend holds that it was once home to the Birdmen, the people of the sky, and that their civilization was a utopia, rivaling the home of the Gods themselves. They were offered tidings from all living races, but the Gods only gave them plagues and disasters. They died out eons ago, but left great treasures in their marble halls. The only people that could have known the location of the Ethos Islands are long since dead, but they've left behind a series of mind-breaking clues and puzzles, and it is said anyone who can decipher the clues and get to the islands could bear witness to the strings that hold the creation together; provided that their intentions are noble and their hearts are pure. Otherwise, they would find only suffering.


Towns/Cities

Royal City: Royal city is actually in the north pole, but its kept warm and temperate by lava pools beneath the plains. The city is large, containing the Palace of the Queen, the Queen's army, and the always bustling Royal Skyport, the biggest port for airships in the world. Surrounding the city is a a very large, lush pine forest teeming with game and wildlife. Around that is the Mettor Mountains, a snow-capped mountain range, holding back the cold harsh winds of the tundras that lay beyond. (so it's a big, layered circle. Outer layer is the mountain range, inner layer is the pine forest, and Royal City is at the center.)

Denmos: a port city on the opposite shores of the Silver Sea from the north pole tundras. The land-arch of Demmosi shield the city from the harsh winds and eerie fog of the Silver Sea. The area is fairly temperate, and acts as a nice waypoint and transition area from the tundras and chilling seas, to the lush jungles further south.

En'nemeerie: tribal village settlement nestled deep in the Jungles of Asharaani'ten. Populated by the En'nemeerie'Da, and protected by the ancient magics present in the jungles and in the souls of the people there. En'nemeerie is difficult to find, even with maps and compasses, and it takes patience, skill, and creativity to find it. That's why they say "The way is only open to friends."

En'nemeerie'Da: a race of people native to the jungles of the En'nemeerie, they are taller, and more slender than people, and are characterized by dark-green hair, pale teal skin, and dark-blue markings on their faces and bodies. They are a very tribal race, revering their lush, tropical homelands and the ancient ways of their elders. The markings on their bodies and faces form naturally during gestation, and at birth, they are read by the Kileeni(elders) in order to determine what role they will play in their society (straight, thick lines with jagged edges and sharp corners mean the newborn will be a skilled warrior/hunter, while wavy, thin lines with smooth edges and corners mean the newborn will use their mind and magic more, perhaps to be an elder or Eveeri(lorekeeper)) They are very skilled archers and warriors, but collectively take more peaceful routes in times of doubt. Their language is elegant, languid, and flowing. They have a deep connection to the strong magic present in their homelands, which they use for healing and protection, the access to such magic being deeply rooted in prayer and meditation, as long as a strong connection to nature is maintained.

When onboard the Zephyr, he is always wearing a plain white apron. He also carries around a munitions belt and has a wheel lock rifle strapped to his back whenever outside the Zephyr.
