~Donut store in that last town they were in, with the marine biology facility~
(everyone's sitting at a booth, with a box of donuts, unopened, still on the table)
Lia: I don't know....I'm not hungry...

Maricia:That's a new one on me. What's wrong?

Lia: I dunno, I just escaped this facility of a huge crime group, and in there I found out my mother, whom I haven't seen for years, is the head of it...It's a lot to take in...*lays her head down on the table*

Alex: Aww, it's okay Lia. I'm here to help you feel better. *Hugs Lia*

Lia: Easy now, I only see you as a friend...

Amethyst: Well whatever. *eats a donut she got for herself*

Alex: <.< Come on, Lia. Have a donut, it'll help cheer you up.

Lia: I dunno...I don't feel like it...
(a waitress walks by)
waitress: Oh, enjoying our new jelly-filled donuts?
Lia: ....you...you put jelly in them? ... *starts stuffing her face with donuts* e.e

Alex: Enjoying them, Lia? :3

Maricia:I'd say she is.

~on the road to the next town, Otega City~

Lia: So...the next gym is grass-type...Well, I already have Chips, so I'm set! ^^ *gestures to her Hoothoot, perched on her head*

Maricia:Fireheart has this covered.*rubs the Charmeleon's head* When he evolves it's gonna be awesome.

Amethyst: *reading a book on pokemon typing written by her mother* According to my mother, fire's really good against grass types. Which means two of us should be able to dominate this gym.

Lia: You have a fire type, Amey?

Amethyst: No. Unfortunately, I don't. I've been looking high and low for one, too.

Alex: Well don't you have a Flying or an Ice type Amey?

Lia: Well...heheh...*takes out a blunt, and lights it with her lighter* Fire beats grass...*chuckles before taking a hit*

Maricia:*sees a herd of Wild rapidash and Ponyta* Ames look.*pionts it out*

Amethyst: Well I have Birdy, but crap if I'll ever get her to listen to me. <.< Pretty sure the move Frustratiopn would instantly knock out even legendaries if she were to learn it.

Lia: Yeah, it'd beHWEUDERF! *trips, and falls to the ground* Eh? Is that...I tripped over a .... nugget? What is that thing? *pokes the thing sticking out of the ground, and it wobbles a bit, and turns around, revealing itself to be a Diglet* What is it?

Amethyst: it's a diglett. *gets it registered into her pokedex*

Lia: Ehehehe...*takes out a pokeball, and taps the diglett on the head with it, catching it, then sends it out, back in its hole in the ground* What....what the heck? What's it look like underground?

Maricia:No one knows.

Lia: But how? *starts tugging on Diglett, who then retreats into the ground, forcing Lia head-first into its hole, causing her to fall in, with her legs sticking up and waving around* mmf mmf mmf!
