slice of life story thread, name pending (also taking suggestions)

my suggestion for the setting is a bay area, probably in california or elsewhere on the western coast. a medium-sized town/city, and our characters are friends/roommates sharing an apartment

my character: Mia Jepson, a 25-year-old electronic music artist who works as a DJ for a young, hip night club as a side job. She felt constrained by her home life and christian upbringing, and after finally moving out and leaving the church, not caring about religion anymore, she pushes herself to be more rebellious, impulsive, and outgoing in life. She has darkish red hair, natural, in a neck-length, wavy slightly bobbed cut. Around the apartment she usually wears old band t-shirts (if it's really hot, she'll go shirtless with her bra) and workout shorts. In public she wears slightly newer band t-shirts, jean shorts, and sandals.

Mine: Roxanne 'Rox' Black, a 20 year-old exorcist who's well-versed most of the world's theology (the popular ones, she's working on the others). She has a convoluted framework in her mind that has her believe all religions are correct. She holds seminars on foreign religions to make a living. Exorcism is what she identifies as her primary pursuit, though it doesn't bring in much money.

She's very lax in the confines of the apartment, wearing a white tank top and white pajama shorts. She's not very preachy about religions though, she's pretty respectful most of the time. Outdoors she wears a black, violet, and white themed outfit that is pretty punk rock. She has no tattoos or piercings however, and has platinum-blonde hair, kept short, parted to one side.

She hates it when people use her full first name. She does not tan, she burns.

Jesse Andersom
A 23 year old who works at a video game store that also doubles as an arcade (Play one of the standard quarter arcade machines, or play a console game for $10 for 30 minutes [or whatever seems like a reasonable price to ensure people just don't spend all day playing games without buying something]), though some nights he has a side job at the same night club Mia works at, as a drag performer. He has light brown hair, slim body, fairly androgynous and wears sensible shirts and pants, and when Jesse's performing he goes as a pretty attractive and passable red headed woman that wears cute yet modest dresses. As a person, Jesse's a friendly and nice guy, though rather reserved and nerdy.

My character will be Kayla Shepard, a 24 year old full-time youtube LPer who owns her own gaming network and is pale white with black hair and has pretty hazel eyes and mostly wears jeans and gaming shirts and such.
