GB Magical Girl

Our characters are normal college students: good friends, complete nerds, etc. On spring break or something, they decide to go out exploring the wilderness for reasons; there they find a cave with a meteor inside. It's cracked open to reveal some mysterious looking crystals inside
The crystals give them super powers/weapons and turn them into girls, so they'll have to adjust to their new lives as they fight off the alien demons they unknowingly summoned by touching the crystals
