Amiko: I can walk, Kim. But thanks. *gets to her feet, still clinging to Kumiko* Just don't....y'know, look at me, okay?

Kumiko: Yeah, it's really cold is all, Kim.

Kimboto clears a path through the snow to Akane's home. And leads the way to it.

Inside is your average japanese style temple, with a bed of furs on the floor in the center. There is also incense burning all around
Amiko: *holding her clothes bundle in her arms* Wow, it's warm in here...and fragrant.
Akane: Thank you. This is a...magical place.
Amiko puts her clothes back on

Kimboto: But I have a question mom. Why did you leave?

Akane: The imperial aggression against the yokai started soon after you were born, so I could not stay. You would have been hunted down easily. I am so sorry, my son. *hugs Kimboto*

Kimboto: I understand. But when I was little I had to deal with alot of bullying from the Yokai around father's dojo. Namely a group of Tengu. When father was away getting a new blade they attacked me. If it weren't for Ashitaka I wouldn't have been able to train to where I am now.

Kumiko: Hm, makes sense, I guess.

Yumi: Why would they do it, though?

Akane: Because the small-minded men that unfortunately rule this land do not understand the yokai. And they always fear what they don't understand.

Kimboto: Speaking of Yokai. I met with chief Mitsu he helped us find you.

Kumiko: I don't understand yokai either. >.>

Akane: Ah, Mitsu. Such a dear friend. How is he doing these days?

Kimboto: Quite well. I even met a female Kappa that taught me some simple cures. Her name is Rin and I think she likes me.

Kumiko: Yeah yeah. *starts stuffing her pipe*

Kimboto: I mean I worry if it will work out.
