here we work on the Lore fighting game RP

what about shields/blocking? there should be a limit on how often and how well you can block. You can't block every attack perfectly.

I guess the first cut scene/intro could be the villain, Osar defeating and absorbing another, lesser villain, and the news of that is what gets the main characters up and at 'em, and on the way or something they run into another villain, and that's the first fight

That sounds cool.

A couple of rules.

No constant dodging. The original game is set on a 2D plane, so there's not much dodging the characters can do in there. This also goes with teleporting. you can only blink(short distance teleport) around foes.

No flying, you can only hover and glide.

Since it would be tedious to track a health bar, the health for the story will be tracked by the Defeat By Modesty trope wherein, the characters slowly tear apart the clothes of the other and the player is defeated when the character becomes too embarrassed or there's so much torn apart, anymore, they'll be naked, or when the big bad calls off the fight.

Limited guard/shield usage, leaves user fatigued.

Let's add the idea of alternate outfits and alternate forms/appearances
For example, one fight Glow could be her Bridget appearance wearing her main outfit while the next fight she could be her third version (Kurosaki Shigure from Double Sensei Life) in her maid outfit
People who fit the alternate appearance criteria are Fierce as her normal and Norse appearances, Shod/Shodette, Samuel/Blossom, Dana Battle, Ren/Daphne, and so on

Norse Fierce: Explained to appease Churro because he saw interest

Norse Fierce is as I said, blonde as opposed to lilac hair and blue eyes as opposed to silver. Her skin is also fairer than normal and she will usually wear viking-inspired small blue outfits. Alternatively, she would just wear an oversized blue long sleeve shirt and fur-lined versions of Fierce's original boots, also colored brown as opposed to the original gray. She would also fight with a flamberge or zweihander.

So how should we do this alternate appearance thing? A room down in the spa area or something? Or one of those screen walls where a person would change behind?

I'd say when they get down there, they find a room with a whole bunch of chests of drawers, labeled with each of their names, and inside are a few change of their clothing styles, in different colors.

That would work for outfits, yes, but not when a character has been given multiple appearances over the years of its existence. Hence the term "alternate appearance" instead of "alternate outfit"
