so far:
okay, we open on the first villain taking over a city and beheading its leader, and then go to our characters meeting somewhere, and then they hear about the city being overtaken, they be the badasses that they are and go try to liberate it. They face many monsters and stuff on the way, ofc, and they try to sneak in to the palace or something, but the villain finds out, they have a fight, the villain beats them, kidnaps KFierce, holding her hostage, and the other characters escape into the sewers

This will be a work thread for the brand new Lore story.

BASIS: The basis here will be no gods/demi-gods/whatever/bullshit. This'll be people who come to kick ass and chew bubble gum. Even without bubble gum. A whole plethora of villains to delight in whooping ass and random monster encounters abound.

VILLAINS(Continuing progress on this section will be made and plenty of edits will put all our hero punching bags on this list.

HEROES(This list will be edited continuously once everyone's registered their characters in this thread using the standard bio formatting.)

CITIES(I feel like we should add our own cities to the story to make for more complexity and more of an environment)

I mean, we won't need full-on character bios yet, but I think we should just lay down very basic descriptions of what our characters will be.
my characters:
- a basic fighter guy, he has a mace and a shield, and a young dragon companion, which they've been together since birth/hatching, and the dragon's name is Jeremy. and I think in the interest of balance, he should be the only character with an animal companion.
- and a female rogue/thief. Using daggers and bow&arrow. Elven, too, methinks.

anyway, @razor, the sewers because the villains gonna promise unimaginable doom and pain on KFierce if the heroes don't GTFO, because he's working on his evil plan or something. and the sewers provide quick and easy escape.

Cool. basic ranger Melee uses an axe. good at tracking in Nature or underground. Knows a great deal of Herbal cures.

Alright, Zera's a Paladin whose moving into dark arts. Basically transitioning between Paladin and Chaos Knight. lolno, not a Death Knight by any stretch, no parts of his arsenal will be devoted to Necromancy or himself being undead.

The idea behind this incarnation of Zera is for him to deal heavy burst damage/hit hard, but not do so consistently so he stays balanced and believable. He wields a Curved Greatsword, which he possesses the most basic amount of dexterity to wield effectively.

Dark Arts is what it sounds like, actually. Dark elemental magic. It isn't Necromancy, and is more for utility than damage. Like he can use shadow elemental chains to drag enemies in and cleave them with his sword. He can imbue his sword with dark energy to grant some regeneration as he sheds the blood of his enemies, or he can briefly link the life of one enemy to several others so by killing one he kills a group of foes. I suppose he could also use this to protect his allies by having damage they take be re-directed at himself as well, as he is very durable.

In terms of his Paladin capabilities, he can cast the normal range of paladin spells easily and quickly, given that he is an advanced Paladin. He does not in any way embody the sanctity of the order. He usually enchants his blade with holy magic to destroy servants of darkness, but since he will soon abandon the order, he'll likely use dark arts more often as the plot goes on.

he also has a dragon companion, Jeremy. It's green, european style, and has purple-ish wing membranes, and a long tail with three spikes on the end, positioned in a cross-formation. He also has two horns on his head, and blazing blue eyes. He can also breath a steady stream of fire, or a miniature fireball.

*Hair color: Pre-dominantly black, though it is graying from the use of black magic and the stress of his work.

*Body build: Slender/fit build, not noticeably muscular.

Personality: Abrasive is a great word for it. He doesn't filter too much of his thought went talking to people, never withholding insults he believes they deserve in hopes the person will correct their incompetence. He is selfishly motivated and most of the time the only reason he does anything for someone else is by order of the Paladin Order. Which is what brings him to the events of the story. He does what he likes, disregarding the order, and almost never wears proper uniform to display his paladin status, preferring to protect himself with medium-light armor and holy magic. Plus if people found out he was acting like an asshole while in Paladin gear he'd be kicked out of the order.

tl;dr: ENTP, Chaotic Neutral, relatively selfish.

Clothing choice: He usually wears a black long coat with a white shirt beneath, said coat is secured to his body by belts where need be so it doesn't fly back in battle or serve to be some kind of hindrance if it is grabbed. His shoulders beat steel-gray scaled pauldrons to protect his shoulders, and he wears steel gauntlets. He wears gray pants with armor strapped on where necessary, such as his knees. His boots are covered in scaled steel. It is clear that he wears the bear minimum protective gear.

Class: Chaos Knight/Paladin Variant

Special powers:

He has a wide range of Holy/Light element spells at his disposal, allowing him to heal the living and cause great damage to the undead and hell spawn he is usually combating.

When it comes to dealing with anything else, he employs dark magic to enchants his blade, allowing him to siphon life from multiple targets in a cleave. He can also close short gaps between himself and his enemies by propelling himself as a darkness elemental. While he is a dark elemental he ironically takes great damage from the light element. All shadow/darkness-related abilities siphon life from enemies.

He has great strength despite his appearance, although it is just enough to enable him to swing his great sword effectively. No more no less.

Weapon: Curved Greatsword

Alternate weapons: Myriad of Holy and Shadow spells.

Background story: Rather boring, ordinary life prior to joining the order with the exception of his parents murder at the hands of invading undead. He took up arms with Paladins despite their desire for him to flee or to stick with them. It was not the Order's original plan to cleanse the town, but that is what ended up happening. The Paladins noted Zera's talent for slaying the undead and extended an offer for him to join them. He was not passionate in his hatred of ghouls and demons, but he would rather slaughter them than be some poor merchant in a backwater town.

He had a reputation in his city of residence, I suppose Battleon, for having borderline insane valor in battle. He did not berserk per say, but he favored little to no tactic and simply facing the enemy head-on, in spite of possible consequences. As he continually survived ambushes or odds stacked against him, he was rather popular where he lived. Of course, he has sustained great injuries and scars, but he has never lost limbs over his tactless combat style.

Over time he developed an appreciation for some of the dark magic his foes utilized, and saw the Order's cautions against using them for themselves as stupidity manifesting itself as tradition. In private, he practices dark magics, though never necromancy, and it is having a gradual influence on him.

Background story: A nekomimi born in an unknown region of Lore. Even since she was seven years old, she had been traveling around Lore and practicing sword skills as well as trying to make Demonic Distress obey her. Nothing else is know about her past from there.
