Mech Story RP

Well since there hasn't been a single idea for that new Lore story I suggested, here's one for that Mech RP. Feel free to come up with stuff

I feel like we should have a binary-naming thing for the mechs, like in Pacific Rim, like there's Gypsy Danger, Cherno Alpha, Crimson Typhoon, etc. I think that's really cool

And also, no OP shit. No mini-nukes or huge-ass ion cannon lasers or anything, and keep it simple. Humanoid mech designs only.

Three mech classes

1. Jaeger-class: Slow, heavily armored, built to take damage and dish it back, specializes solely in melee combat
2. Eva-class: Lightly armored to greatly increase its speed, shielded to make up for lack of armor, not specialized in melee or ranged combat but has equitable weapons such as a skyscraper sized gatling gun or a large knife the size of a train car to allow it to be capable of both
3. (Unnamed)-class: Has absolutely no armor making its extremely high speed and flight capabilities its only defense, light shielding (if any shielding at all) because all that power goes into the weapons, specialized solely in ranged combat

Here's a prototype intro for the mech story

It all started over fifty years ago, a monstrous creature, a kaiju, that local legends call Gojira, but in actuality was an ancient reptile mutated by nuclear weapons testings, rose out of the Pacific Ocean with no warning and decimated Tokyo. Japan's strongest military weapons were no match for the fifty meter dinosaur, and all seemed lost until one of Japan's most brilliant scientists came forward with a weapon even more horrific than the atomic bombs that spawned the creature. In the end, although the scientist sacrificed himself deploying his invention to ensure that it would never be used as a weapon again, mankind would never again experience the destructive power of a kaiju.

Or so we thought. It turns out that it was just the beginning.
Less than a year after Gojira was killed, a second Gojira, this one twice as large as the first made landfall, and then more kaiju appeared. Some were native to earth and were perfectly content with peacefully living away from humans; while other kaiju came down from the cosmos above, the fiery pits of hell below, or even from other dimensions. Why they came to this planet or even to this dimension is unknown. But one thing is clear, after they started to appear, they started appearing in coastal cities all over the world. In New York, San Francisco, Sydney, Hong Kong, the list goes on. And like the first kaiju, these new ones are impervious to conventional warfare. So we upgraded, maser cannons mounted on our tanks and jets, aerial battleships, yet none of these worked. It seems that the only thing that was able to defeat a kaiju, was another kaiju that appeared to drive them off. So in order to counter the kaiju, we built our own monsters, massive mecha, to fight them.

Name: Marisa Mason
Gender: Female

Appearance: dirty-blonde, very wavy hair, arranged in a loose ponytail going down to the middle of her back, has heterochroma(right eye blue, left eye green), and a bit of freckles on her cheeks.
Clothing:
-Casual: usually wears tight-fitting short tank top that reveals her midriff, and cargo shorts, and combat boots.
-Pilot uniform: dark blue drive suit, with white outlines/trim.
Personality: Gruff, rough-around-the-edges, usually sarcastic and snide. Once you get to know her, she's actually quite friendly and amicable, in her own way.
Background: who cares? we never go over them in the stories.

Mech Name: Cobalt Sunrise
Mech Class: Tank
Mech Description: the carbon/steel/titanium alloy plating is colored a deep blue, with white trimming/decals. Has an American Flag decal on the right pec. (it's basically a palette-swap of Striker Eureka from Pacific Rim.)
Mech Weapons: Triple-Helix Missile launcher(Shoulder mounted, once fired, the missile splits off into three parts which rotate around each other along its path to the target, in a triple-helix pattern. When close to target, they slightly veer off into different directions, aiming to do more damage to the extremities of the target, and also to disorient, confuse, and stagger it.)

Brass Knuckles(fist mounted, ofc, same alloy as the armor plating, but blended with brass.)

Chest lasers. Can't think of a cool technical/military-sounding name for this. (Chest-mounted, there are four nodes around the center of the chest[around where the sternum would be if it were human], that simultaneously fire a high-power photon-based laser at the target. Takes a while to charge up/cool down, so it's saved for the finishing move. Very effective.)




Name: Joss Combs
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Appearance: slim, slightly muscular, average height. Short brown curly-ish hair, and a short-cropped beard.
Clothing:
-Casual: dark green slightly military-looking hat, short-sleeved flannel overshirt over a white undershirt, distressed jeans, and work boots
-Pilot uniform: red drive suit, with a white line going down the middle, and white lines coming off it on the chest, in a herringbone pattern
Personality: cocky, self-sure, slightly arrogant, boastful, proud, but mostly just likes to make jokes and have fun.

Mech Name: Outlander Havoc
Mech Class:Striker
Weapons: Two shoulder-mounted missile launchers(one on either shoulder), armed with both incendiary  and heat-seeking missiles.
left arm: plasma-caster(basically a high-powered, high volume flamethrower.
right arm: gatling gun
Mech description: basically it looks like a slightly chunkier Unit-01 without that stupid unicorn horn. The main body is colored a faded, metallic red, and the flanks/special plates are colored off-white/chrome, respectively.

Mech name: The lord of the rings, Jalaal
Mecha class: Scout
Mech description: An all white mecha that is completely thinly framed. Its head has no face, but only glowing red eyes and has a horn on its forehead that holds a gold ring with blue lights inside the ring, the mecha also has three brightly glowing yellow rings around its neck that seem to be made of plasma or light, there are also three of the same kinds of rings around both of the unit's forearms and there are also larger yellow rings at the bottoms of the unit's foot stubs that hover a few feet below the bases of the feet and project a powerful jet thrust from within the rings, the unit also has three fingers and floating behind the unit is a very large ring that sort of resemble a gear and the ring is also painted white and has several rings within it and rings within them that get smaller inside each ring. The large ring floats independently from the mecha and slowly spins in a clockwise rotation. On the chest of the unit is a large red sphere as well.
Mech weapons: The mech is equipped with a staff in its right hand that has seven rings above and below where the hand holds the staff which is the exact center of the staff, the staff in colored a dark blue and at the top rests a red orb with a ring floating around it. The staff's red or can fire a red lightning bolt at its target and at the bottom of the staff, a dagger blade pops out and can be stabbed into a target and the target will then be injected with paralyzing toxins

The ring on the horn can fire a beam of blue glowing rings from its blue lights and fire a photo laser from its center

The red sphere in the chest can fire a powerful red beam surrounded by glowing yellow rings

The hands are each equipped with powerful photon beam cannons

The glowing red eyes can also fire intense heat lasers at a target

The three fingers on the left hand can fire a small absolute-zero beam when the fingers are closed together

Mecha name: Eagle Defender
Mecha class: Scout
Mech description: A transforming mecha that changes from a fighter jet. In fighter jet mode, it resembles a standard fighter jet with white wings and black body with a mini gun attached under the nose and the wings carrying four missiles in total. In mech mode, the wings fold over to the back and the nose becomes the chest and the humanoid body is a mix of black and white while his has two heavy machine guns for hands.

Mech name: Phoenix Fury(i tried to make it PR, that was all I got)
Mech class: Tank
Mech description: A mech built to handle the manliness of John Johnson himself! The mech is a well-built tank-class mech covered in heavy shining steel armor and equipped with titanium gauntlet type weapons that encase the forearms and hands. The mech can even shed its upper body armor and reveal a dark gray muscular mecha with a phoenix decal on its left pectoral and its hands are bright read boxing gloves, with the upper body armor taken off, the mech's punches are delivered thrice as fast and its movement speed skyrockets!

My previous mecha ideas:

A scout-type mecha that had a bladed plasma cannon and assault rifle that flew on jet wings and had rocket fists with machine guns inside the arms.

A tank-type bunny humanoid robot that went up and beat up giant monsters with electrified boxing gloves.

A striker-type mecha that had armor plating like a knight's suit of armor and fought with an attached jousting lance arm.

Mech Description: Although lean (but not as scrawny as the Jalaal), the Sovereign uses its lack of bulk to surprise is kaiju enemies, as few suspect that a mech as scrawny as this would have a physical strength rivaling that of a Tank-class mech. The Sovereign is gunmetal gray with black markings along its forearms and chest, and has a single horn with two vertical pylons mounted on its shoulders where its vibro knife is stored. (It's basically a palette swap of Unit-01)

-Vibro Knife: It's basically a big combat knife with a vibrating edge
The rest of its equipment varies depending on the kaiju

Appearance: Physically she resembles an attractive, well endowed human woman with a slight tan aside from her almost white hair and golden eyes

-Casual: A long shirt, a pair of ankle boots with low heels, and white and cyan stripped thigh socks
-Drive Suit: A dark violet suit with a golden line running down the center of the chest, black gloves and boots with a low heel
Personality: Naive and readily eager to learn about earth's many cultures, although it may be merely a cover for something
Background: Only says that she's a fugitive from some tyrannical alien empire, and that she managed to steal the two most powerful mechs the empire has in its vast armada.

Mech Name: (Approximate English Translation) Genesis
Mech Class: (Approximate English Translation) Lilith
Mech Description: An all black mech that is considerably bulkier than its counterpart, the Jalaal, with its build resembling that of a Striker-class but with arms more like a Tank-class. Like the Jalaal, it's head has no face but it has cobalt blue eyes. The Genesis also has several amethyst colored rings of hard light that appear around its body, most notably around its forearms, its back, and its legs; the hovering behind the Genesis' back acting as some sort of thruster while the ones on its arms and legs appear to amplify their strength. On the chest of the Genesis is a large, cobalt sphere.
Weapons:
-Plasma fists: Each hand is enveloped by super-heated plasma energy
-Gamma Storm: The cobalt sphere unleashes a barrage of blue beams surrounded by amethyst colored rings, it requires a lot of power so it's only used on the strongest of foes
-Hard light knife: Creates a knife made out of hard light
-Gun create: Creates a firearm made out of solid energy that fires hard light ammunition. It takes several minutes to gather the energy required, the longer spent charging, the larger and stronger the gun

We can totally have a kaiju doing this in the story.

Someone should make a mech with toaster based weaponry and call it Breadhead.
