Nicole: Sure, we can do that. *Hugs Lia and gives her a kiss*

The next morning, Lia's mom sees Lia and Nicole off outside the house after giving them a big amount of preserved foods
Lmom: And remember, don't eat all this food too quickly. Ration it out to save on money.
Lia: I keep telling you, Nicole's loaded!

Nicole: I am, though I'd rather not spend so much.

Lmom: You girls have fun, and be careful!
Lia: We will! *hugs her mom*
Later on, on the way up to Rusturf Tunnel
Lia: *sighs* Y'know, I'm glad we ran into mom. Gave me some closure about leaving...

Nicole: See? I told you it wouldn't be that bad.

Lia: I know, and-*stops before the entrance to rusturf tunnel* ....NOOOOOO!

Nicole: Oh come now, it won't be that bad.

Lia: *sighs* if I go through this cave, yer gonna have to make it worth my while.

Nicole: Hey, I did get a super cute outfit to wear for the contest. I'm sure you'll love it.

Lia: if I make it through this cave can I watch you change into it?

Nicole: Sure thing. Maybe I'll consider letting you take it off, too. :3

Lia: Alright, it's a deal!
A quarter of the way through the tunnel, making their way through the multitudes of crying whismur
Lia: *covering her ears tightly and cringing* This is literally the worst thing I have ever experienced ever.

Nicole: *Wincing a bit* The sound's not that bad....

Lia: *stops in front of a rockslide blocking the tunnel* Oh great. Now we can't continue AND we're about to go deaf.

Nicole: I think I gave your Lairon Rock Smash back when we were in Mauville City.

Lia: Got it! *sends out her Lairon* Okay Larry, buddy, I need you to smash through those rocks!
Lia pets her Lairon before he rears up and headbutts the rockslide, crashing through it and creating a path through
Lia: Yeah! You did it! And it's all thanks to you, Nicole! Although...why not teach it to Torch? I bet he could smash up rocks like no one's bidness.

Nicole: Not sure, never really occurred to me.

Lia: *shrugs* Eh, well anyway, let's continue on. *sees a faint light from down the tunnel* Nicole...*climbs on Lairon's back* Get on!

Nicole: Sure thing. *Gets on the Lairon and hugs Lia* Let's ride, servant.

Lia: Right!
Lairon speeds for the tunnel exit, and runs right out into Verdanturf town
Lia: We made it! Yes! *jumps off Lairon and recalls him* Yes!

Nicole: Well, that ride could've been more comfortable, but at least we got through. ^^

Lia: Don't listen to her, Larry! She's just used to like fancy limousines with fancy leather seats and stuff. *recalls her Lairon* So, how about this costume?

Nicole: Well first I'm gonna need to register at the contest hall.

Lia: Ugh, fine.
At the contest hall, Nicole has just entered
clerk: *hands her her contest pass* Here you go! The next contest is in an hour, so you should go get ready!

Nicole: Sure thing. Come along, servant. ^^ *Smiles cutely at Lia before heading to her assigned changing room*
