Gavin: I didn't lie! I embellished the truth. You see, I was telling you the potential of weaponry that the Guppy could have!

Mark: All she needs is a bit of work I can help with that.

Sophie: Oh I do hope the galley isn't as shabby as I'm imagining it to be.

Catherine: No, you were telling me the weaponry this wreck has.

Gavin: Listen, the weaponry is fine. Well...sort of. It'll get better! We just need to do some transport jobs to get more money, that's all! I believe we can make this ship the best one in the sky!

Mark: Think Doc Fox would have some work for us?

Gavin: Mark! *grabs him by the shoulders* Excellent thinking! I just know that crazy old man has something for us! Let's go!

Sophie: If that oven in there doesn't work or blows up on me so help me, I will...Get...Really mad... *crosses her arms*

Mark and Bruiser take the lead to the Doc's shop.
Mark: I hope he's in a good mood today. He was when i got Bruiser.

Gavin: *opens the door to his workshop, finding it vacant inside* ..Hello?
Inside the shop, there are many half-finished brass contraptions, cogs littered everywhere, and papers, plans, books, and parchments strewn about the place. But no signs of life.
Gavin: Hmm...is he out for a beer? *wanders around looking at stuff*

Sophie: Perhaps we should come back at another time?

Mark and Bruiser start to search.
Mark:Something feels off. He'd never leave things half done.

Gavin: Hmm...*inspects the area behind his front desk, and sees a metal lever sticking out of the wall* Hmm...curious...*pulls the lever with gusto, and the panel of floor he was standing on descends at a slow pace to the floor below* Ha! An elevator! How novel!

Catherine: *Looking at the sole weapon* Jeez, I have no idea how I'm gonna be able to improve this thing. I don't even know if I can without it crashing through the hull.

Mark: Gavin did you find something?

Sophie: I wonder where it leads? Perhaps a wine cellar?

Gavin: Whatever it is, I hope Catherine does well guarding the ship while we're all here in Dr. Fox's workshop.
The lift stops at the basement, where it's pitch black except for another lever, which Gavin pulls, turning on the lights for the basement, where more complex machinery lies dormant. At the end of the basement, a brass-shaped pod lies with tubes and pneumatic pumps and other contraptions hooked up to it, next to a row of differently-colored magic crystals, with one spot missing on the row.
Gavin: Hey guys, jump down here! It's not far at all. You've got to see this, Mark!

Mark and Bruiser come to and mark is awestruck by what he sees.
Mark:What is all this?

Gavin: Some kind of secret laboratory from the looks of it. *gestures to the pod in the back of the lab* I'm going to go touch that thing. Not sure why. *saunters over to the mysterious machine and messes around with a panel in the front of it*

Mark looks at the crystals that are out in the open.
Mark: Gavin do you know anything about these?

Sophie: They appear to be crystals used for magic purposes. Interesting.

Catherine: What kind of magic do you think they're for?

Mark opens Bruiser and notices a slot for a crystal.
Mark: Sophie be careful and pass me a crystal.

Sophie: So you're just going to use these crystals without knowing if they're good or bad?

Mark:Hmm good point.*looks around* Hmm maybe there's a note book.
