well that's the way they're actually doing this in the story. The Valkyries will be taking the hero to Asgard, but he contests his death, and bids them to take him to the Yggdrasil, in order to-why am I telling you this? Go back and read the story idea again!

well they're not technically demons(thanks for assuming.) they're these super-strong guys who can turn into beasts n shit. They're super rad. I made them up

Maybe each has a special skill set or something like that, Or a hidden ability Odin can bring out.

Well two of the characters are valkyries. Obviously they can interact with spirits and report directly to Odin. They are also warrior maidens so it makes them each very capable fighters if ever needed. That's why he could use the two valkyries.
