The Clockwork Skies

The first harpy roc flies in that path, and gets shot in the head. Its lifeless body falls to the sea below.
Gavin: Prodigious! Excellent shot!

Sophie: *shoves random objects in front of the door and then huddles next to the oven, crying* Please make it go away. Q.Q

Catherine: Is that all of them? Because I should really go check on Sophie.

Gavin: There's still one more... *draws his sword*
The other harpy roc perches on some rigging above Gavin, and screeches at him
Gavin: Don't shoot! You'll hit the rigging! *climbs up and onto the bird, then it flies off* Agh!

Catherine: I can't get a shot, I might hit him.

Sophie: Rocs are so scary. I wanna go home now! T.T

Gavin: *aims his sword at the roc's head, and waits till the roc's flying towards the ship again, then fires it, the red crystal shooting a gout of flares resembling a roman candle, which covers the roc's head in fire. He then jumps onto the ship, the roc hits the side of the hull, then drops to the sea below* Hoo...*tries to catch his breath* That was...amazing...

Catherine: I'll admit, that was actually rather impressive. Now, I need to check up on Sophie. *Goes to the door she went into* Sophie? There's no need to hide anymore, Sophie.

Gavin: *follows her* That's right, the rocs are dead now. Are you alright?

Sophie: I-I'm alright. Are you guys sure there's no more scary birds?

Mark: Hey Gavin any idea what element crystal i should adc to my wrench?

Catherine: We're sure there aren't any more of those harpy rocs.

As Gavin is down in the galley with Sophie, he did not hear Mark.
Gavin: They're all gone. You...don't like excitement like this, do you?

Catherine: No, Sophie's always hated fighting.

Gavin: Have you guys known each other outside this crew?

Sophie: *puts all the stuff she put in front of the door away and unlocks it* Okay...

Catherine: We've known each other for a couple years.

Gavin: Ah. Well anyway, you've got nothing to worry about on this ship. I'm confident Mark and I assembled a crack team of fighters.

Catherine: Your "crack team of fighters" is just me and Vix.

Gavin: *puts his hands on his hips in a triumphant post* I'm a fighter, too! D'ja see the sword?

Sophie: I'm sure Mark is also capable in combat. He is a man after all.

Gavin: Well I'm not sure what the man part has to do with it, but he does have a big wrench and a mean right hook.

Catherine: A wrench won't do much, you saw how useless it was against those rocs.

Mark: It just needs a crystal boost like his sword.

Gavin: Crystal boost, eh? What color would you go with?
