Dax:What the hell did you take Gerard?

Gerard: Later!
(crashing through the branches and vines slows the fall of the Zephyr, and it lands in the underbrush of the floor of the Jungle semi-safely.)
Scarlett: ....okay, sound off. Who's not dead?
Gerard: I'm not...

Dax:Venomfang and I are safe.

Gerard: Oh good. The spider is safe...
Scarlett: Shut up. It's YOUR fault we're in this mess!
Gerard: What do you mean?
Scarlett: What did you steal, anyway?
Gerard: *looks around* It's a map. *pulls out a gold-plated cylinder from the footlocker under his hammock in the crew quarters* To the Ethos Islands.
Pippie: Those islands are a myth!
Scarlett: You put all our lives in danger. For a myth!
Gerard: The islands exist, and someday I'll find them!
Scarlett: I want you off this ship. Go explore or forage or something, I just want you gone!
Gerard: ....right. *stuffs the contents of his locker into a knapsack, slings it over his shoulder, and goes up on deck* I-
Scarlett: GONE!
(Gerard climbs over the edge, jumping down, and landing on a bush, then gets up and heads off into the Jungle)
Scarlett: ...alright, let's get some rest. We'll start fixing the Zephyr up tomorrow.

Dax:Vemon fangs silk is really strong. Maybe is can help patch the Zephyr?

Calvin: Huh. We'll worry about that later.

Dax:Ok. Man Gerard pisses me off.

Scarlett: Won't make for a very good patch. We can stitch it together with his silk, then patch it with some hides, that should work. But let's get some shut-eye.

(meanwhile, Gerard stumbles through the overgrowth, pushing vines and branches aside with a stick. He then strips on a root, and tumbles down a hill, his coat and clothes catching and ripping on protruding roots and sticks, and spilling most of the contents of his bag. He then hits a rock at the bottom, and stops)
Gerard: ...ow...wha...? *sees light, and hears the softest footsteps approaching*
(several figures appear around Gerard, some holding staffs, onto which are fastened Lumiroots(a luminescent ball of tangled roots). They appear tribal, donning loose strands of garb, and have long, dark braided hair, strange markings on their faces and bodies, and pale teal skin)
Gerard: En....En'ne...meerie...da...
(the figures bound Gerard, pick him up, and carry him off into the depths of the Jungle)

Dax sets up the hammock he weaved from Vemonfangs Drawline silk.
Dax:Night.
Venomfang settles in the tree above him.

(the next morning)
(Gerard awakens in a large, circular shelter made from thatched leaves)
Gerard: *coughs* where....where am I?

Dax:Mmmm. Morning.

Calvin: *cooking over a bonfire with the cooking equipment he salvaged* Morning Dax. I couldn't sleep, so I went and salvaged my cooking equipment and decided to cook us all breakfast. I'm a strange case, I know.

Dax:Little bit. Did you manage to get any of the Jars of grubs I got for Venomfang?

Calvin: You had purchased treats for your friend?

Dax:Yeah.

Calvin: I didn't find any, I apologize.

Dax:It's ok. Does my ability freak you out?

Gerard: Strange carvings and adornments on the walls...Lunaroots hung everywhere....I seem to be bound in an En'nemeerie village... prodigious....
(a few En'nemeerie villagers wielding spears enter the hut. One approaches Gerard, leans down, and pokes him in the chest)
Gerard: Hey! uh....Devenooritena namooorie'ka haveeni.
(the guards look at Gerard, then at each other)
guard: evooe'ka na na kooorineaves.
guard 2: ya ya kanoorie ten da.
Gerard: Namooi!
(the two guards exit the hut)
Gerard: ... or was it Namooeh? Damn...my accent must be atrocious.

Dax:Anyone seen Gerard?

really razor? did you forget he was kicked off the ship?

Scarlett: Forget about Gerard.

(meanwhile)
(the two guards walk back into the hut, followed by a human woman (read her bio in the bio thread). the Woman kneels down next to Gerard)
woman: Aboonie, ne'meera'tan.
(one of the guards undoes Gerard's bindings)
Gerard: ...who are you?
Gale: My name is Gale Nimoore. I'm a scholar living in this En'nemeerie village as a missionary from Ridgewood.
Gerard: You...why was I taken here?
Gale: the En'nemeerie don't trust outsiders, even those who "blunder about and fall in the jungle".
Gerard: They told you about that?
Gale: *laughs* Don't worry, I'll vouch for you around here. You shouldn't be treated too bad. *smiles*
Gerard: ..why?
Gale: Because I can tell you're a nice guy. Come on! *helps up Gerard* Let's get you some food.

Dax:Right,*calls Venomfang down* Lets get started on fixing the Zephyr.

(Gale leads Gerard out into the En'nemeerie village, where En'nemeerie villagers are carrying buckets of water, or baskets of food, some are trading produce, some are weaving baskets or trading food and wares, and there are children running about and playing)
Gerard: So how did you find yourself here?
Gale: I was a student at the University at Ridgewood, and I came here by ship, then caravan as a missionary. The villagers teach me their language and culture, and I teach them my language and culture.
(a villager offers them some round, pale white fruits, as big as a man's fist)
Gale: Here. *hands him one of the fruits* It's a de'reefru. Juiciest berry in the whole world!
Gerard: Hm. (takes a bite, and his whole mouth fills with de'reefru juice) 0.0 *swallows it* woah! That's excellent!

Jessica: So captain, how long should it take to get this ship fixed? A few days?

Dax:Maybe longer. We need a new Navigator.

Gale: So if I may ask, how did a stranger like you come to find this place?
Gerard: Oh..I um...uh..
Gale: *laughs* It's okay, we know you're good, people withe bad intentions usually don't last long in the jungle.
Gerard: Oh..*smiles* Well, I was in an airship, and we were heading south to Maparth, when we ran into some pirates, and we crashed not far from here.
Gale: So where's the crew?
Gerard: Well....they sort of uh...kicked me out...so I was wondering around aimlessly, and it all gets fuzzy after that..

Scarlett: OH, you happen to know any?
