Hunting Monsters with Veila and Zeph!

Veila: We need to give it chase! Come on! *takes Zeph's hand and rushes into the woods after the beast*

(they come upon the beast feeding on a dead Aptonoth)
Zeph: *takes Veila and hides behind a bush* Let's sneak up on him!

Veila: That seems like a good plan, but I'm not too confident in my sneakiness. I'll try though.

Zeph: Okay, you hang back here in case something goes wrong. *crouches down, and sleeks off toward the Great Jaggi*
(once she gets close enough, Zeph sweeps across its legs, which knocks it back in surprise, then rolls around and smashes it in the head)

Veila: Sometimes I wish I had taken up a bow or even a bowgun. *slinks out and slices into the jaggi's back*

(the jaggi shrugs off the slice, and whips his tail around, knocking back the girls)
Zeph: You still can take up a gunner class. I mean, we're not very far in our careers to not switch weapons...*gets up, and darts to the left to avoid the G. Jaggi's sideways lunge attack which strikes Zeph*

Veila; Hmmmm... That is true. I'll see about getting a bowgun after this. SHuld be one in the chest in our house for me to try out.

(the Jaggi turns sideways and lunges at Veila)
Zeph: Here! *sings a song that boosts hers and Veila's defense*

Veila rolls out of the way and slices into the jaggi's underbelly.

(the Jaggi jerks up, and lets out a piercing roar, with steam rising from its mouth)
Zeph: Watch out, I think it's enraged!

Veila: Um....Steamy.... *holds up her sword* Gimme your best, monster.

(the beast gnashes its jaws at Veila, trying to crunch down on her)
Zeph: Get away from here! *smashes her horn into the Jaggi's haunch*

Veila jumps back and stabs into the jaggi's jaw.

(The Great Jaggi stumbles back, and limps off into the woods. After tracking it back to its lair, the girls pounce on him to attack, and after battling to its last legs, it finally succumbs, and falls to the ground, dead.)
Zeph: Yes! We did it! Haha! *hugs her sister tightly* We killed our first monster!

Veila: Yeah! *hugs her sister* I owe it all to you, sis.

Zeph: *takes out her carving knife* Alright, let's get to work.
(later that evening, the girls arrive back in the village with the fruits of their kill)
Zeph: Hey, you think we can make better armor with this Great Jaggi stuff?

Veila: I think we can. We should bring it to the smith and see about him fitting us with armor from it.

(at the smith, he shows them pieces of parchment which shows them pictures of what armors they can make with the materials they have)
Zeph: Woah, the Jaggi armor looks cool! I'll take the blademaster, please!
smith: You got it! *takes her materials* Yup, this should be enough for a complete set. *turns to Veila* And what about you?

Veila: I'll take the gunner armor, please.

smith: *takes her materials* They should be ready soon!
Zeph: Awesome! Now what should we do?

Veila: Let's turn in the mission and get our pay then.

(at the guild desk)
clerk: And here's your zeni for the Great Jaggi quest! *hands them a bag of coins* Now, for your next quest. Deliver two monster guts!
Zeph: *slams her hands down on the counter* BORING!
clerk: uh..okay...how about a mushroom gatheri-
Zeph: YAWN!
clerk: Kelbi horns?
Zeph: SNORESVILLE!
clerk: FINE! We have a quest to hunt a few trouble-making Ludroths. You took down a Great Jaggi so I guess you're fine to take this quest.

Veila: Sorry about my sister, we'll take the ludroth quest then.

(the next morning, the girls get their armor from the smith, and head back to their house to change)
Zeph: *stripping down to her underwear* I hope the smith crafted my armor with the midriff bare, like I requested...I just love feeling the breeze on my stomach.

Veila: *browsing the equipment chest, also in her underwear* Aha! *pulls out the basic heavy bowgun* I knew we had one in here. I'm gonna try using this baby here from now on.
