Um.....hmm....
I know it's been used before, possibily many times...but how about a band of human and alien pirates that formed to rebel against the tyranny of a galactic empire?
Maybe not.

no, we need to do actual pirating! Not any of that righteous crap!
how 'bout like a series, with many smaller plots?
like, well, fights with a galactic empire, but also plundering space-booty

That's kinda what I meant....it's the same characters with each thing, right?

Nothing, so our characters will be raiding empire ships? Alright then

and transport ships. and merchant ships. Basically anything that movies, except asteroids

well I don't wanna make this like 95% alien, y'know. maybe like 25% alien, 70% human, and 5% robot

Um, weaponry? What's it going to be? Ballistics (standard bullets), mass accelerators, plasma, lasers, all of the above?

mass accelerators? okay, usually I'm good with translating inane techno-babble, but I'm kinda stuck on mass accelerators. how are they used?

Look up coilgun, it's much easier that way

So which should we use for weaponry?

[Zephyr]

all, but no balistics. They don't work well when all your enemies use bullet-proof armor and that ballistic weapons are relics in the time we're talking about

That can be easily solved with Armor Piercing High Penetration High Explosive ammo
But fine

[Zephyr]

still, they require an extensive amount of ammunition, and back-ups, in order to get any progress done in battle. Plus, they jam up all over the damn place. Laser-firing weaponry is infinitely more efficient

Fine, bullets have been replaced with MA rounds then

MA rounds?

[Darth Wiggles]

Mass accelerator rounds = projectiles fired with magnetism at speeds much higher than standard bullets

they're still bullets though.
