Archmage

this is the story of a mage-in-training who was banished from his Wizard's Order, and informed that the only way to restore his status as mage is to defeat a shapeshifting demon. He gathers a group of adventurers to aid him in his perilous journey.

Soul pact: Ronald can call upon the souls that he has devoured to posses others.
Pentagram Seal: Ronald makes a seal with his blood corrupting & binding a group of enemies. There souls are slowly sapped during this time.
Soul gaze: Ronald pears into the very soul of his foe & strikes it with his mind. This deals heavy damage and demoralizes the enemy

Background: Jenghas’s best friend while growing up, where ever he is, she isn’t that far away. She joined the Wizard Order a day after he joined, when she found out that Jenghas was banished from the order and sent on a quest to defeat the demon Nergall, Blossom immediately left to help her friend on the quest.

~opens on a huge ivory tower, in the middle of a lush forest area. The tower is the Wizard's Tower, home and headquarters of the magical order.~

(Jenghas and Blossom are walking up a spiral staircase)
Jenghas: heh, do you think Argemaeus will notice the Basilisk droppings I placed in his robes when he wasn't paying attention?

Blossom: *Laughs* No doubt he'd notice, but the question is if he learns who did it.

Jenghas: Damn...he probably did.
booming voice of Argemaeus: JENGHAAAAAAS!!!
Jenghas: Nahh....he...he couldn't have...

Blossom: I think he did...

Jenghas: Damn! Run! *runs up to a door, then throws it open to find Argemaeus, a tall, wisened, but exasperated Wizard, glaring down upon him* Um...So you found out it was me...
Argemaeus: Young mage, a Wizard is always aware of what lays inside his robes, and who put it there. Come with me. *takes Jenghas by the arm*
Jengahs: Heh heh...seeya Blossom..

Blossom: Bye Jenghas.

~Outside, in a sunlit clearing of the surrounding forest~
(Argemaeus leads Jenghas to a large wooden trough, filled with raw chickens)
Argemaeus: You'll be in charge of putting food in this trough three times a day. one in the morning, one at noon, and one in the evening.
Jenghas: Um. What exactly is this trough feeding?
Argemaeus: Why, Artemis of course.
Jenghas: Ah, of course.
(Argemaeus walks back to the tower)
Jenghas: Um....*throws a chicken into the trough*

As Jengas & Argemaeus walk down the long dark corridors of the ivory tower an ominous presence can be felt deep within the towers shadows.

Blossom: *Sighs as she looks out of the window* Wonder how Jenghas is doing.

Jenghas: Hmmm...
(A hawk flies down to Jenghas' arm)
Kiko: Hello Jenghas! Pleasant day, isn't it?
Jenghas: Not really. Do you know what this "Artemis" is?
Kiko: Hm..not at all. Why?
Jenghas: Nevermind. Can you go tell Blossom to come meet me down here?
Kiko: Of course, Jenghas. *flies up to the tower, to the window Blossom is looking out of*

Blossom: Hmm? What is it?

Kiko: Jenghas would most certainly enjoy your presence down at the clearing, if you don't mind.

Blossom: Alright then.
Blossom smiles before heading down to the clearing.
Blossom: You wanted me?

Jenghas: Hey! Do you know what this Artemis thing is? I'm supposed to feed it three times a day!

Blossom: I'm sorry Jenghas, but I do not know what Artemis is.

Jenghas: Well whatever it is, I-
(a loud "whoosh" is heard, followed by another as a small shadow peers down on the lookout, then grows larger as the "whooshes" grow louder)
Jenghas: It's a dragon, isn't it?
Kiko: Oh yeah.
(a huge black dragon with unusual wings and ears lands next to the trough)
Artemis: ...*Inhales the chickens*

Blossom's eyes widen in shock before laughing nervously.
Blossom: I didn't know we had a dragon....its friendly to people, right Kiko?

Kiko: Heh. Damned if I know. Let's find out. Poke it.
Jenghas: No!
(Artemis glances at Jenghas)
Artemis: ....thanks.
Jenghas: Yo...you...you can talk?
Artemis: some dragons speak, but not a lot. I do, however.
Jenghas: Cool! So why do we feed you?
Artemis: so I defend against invaders, or enemies. The wizards up in their ivory tower can't be bothered to lift their noses out of their books to banish a few demons here and there.

Blossom: Hmm, yeah, that does sound like the lazy bastards up in the tower...Well, looks like we're done for right now.

Artemis: You'd think with all the Arcane magic those Wizards are practicing, you'd think the demons would be cool with that. But no, there's also a touch of the Divine.
Jenghas: Divine? Oh yeah, where?
Artemis: You. *points to Jenghas* And you. *points to Blossom* I can sense it.
