Girl: ?...Eh? ....?? Wh...whats going on? Where am I?
Jax: some old musty museum.
Girl: *Looks around* who are you people?

Cole: I'm Cole, this is Peeko, the lady is Ophelia and this guy is Jax.

Ophelia: Who...are you?
Jax: Hey, those scales...and that tail! You think she's a dragon type?

Peeko: Oh yeah! She totally could be!

girl: I am a dragon.
Jax: you mean "dragon type"?
girl: ..yeah, I guess.
Jax: Eh?
Ophelia: Why were you in that egg?
girl: I...don't remember...
voices and loud footsteps are heard from up in the museum
Jax: Uh-oh...we've got company...

Peeko: Nobody make a sound. *crouches down*
Cole: Hmmm. *clutches the handle of his sword at his waist*

Jax: I'll go sneak around and take a look.
Jax goes into his shadow form and disappears, and comes back a little later
Jax: Its Valerica! And some other guy, looks like he might be a fire type or something.

Cole: Oh great. Two of us are weak to fire.
Peeko: You don't happen to know any water type moves, do ya?
Cole: Do I look like a swimmer to you?
Peeko: I dunno, but with those abs, you could probably wash some clothes.

Jax: What about dragon girl? She must be strong against fire.
Ophelia: We don't even know if she's in any condition to fight. We have to get her out of here and over to Magnus!
Jax: okay, since you and Cole are weak to fire, you should take dragon girl out of here. Peeko and I can distract them.

Peeko: Alright, I can do that.
Cole: Yeah, that would be our best bet here.

Jax: Right. O, I scouted out a back door you guys can take where our friends won't see you.
Ophelia: Right. *helps the dragon girl on her feet, and rushes away with Cole*
Jax: okay... you ready for the fight of our lives?

Peeko: Yeah, I'm ready for this.

Jax: Okay, just relax, this is gonna be weird. We're gonna sneak attack em. *grabs Peeko's shoulders, and shadow sneaks up to the ground floor behind Valerica and the fire guy, a huge, muscular man whose arm hair is just flames, then exits the shadows* gah! Damn, that was hard to keep up. Yer heavy....
Valerica: what was that? *her and the fire guy turn around* ah.

Peeko: Oh, uh... hehe... hi there. *smiles innocently*

Valerica: Children, this is Karloff, your babysitter.
Karloff: Da.
Valerica: Do play nice. *disappears in a cloud of dark smoke*
Jax: oh trap! She's probably going after Ophelia!

Peeko: Oh no! What do we do now? We can't get past this guy to stop her, we'll be too late!

Jax: *sighs* we just have to have faith that they can take care of themselves.
Karloff: ...Da. *holds his arms out and two huge torrents of flame engulf the two heroes*

Peeko: Eep! *rolls out of the way of the torrent and runs up to Karloff and uses comet punch*

Karloff: *blocks the comet punch, and throws Peeko to the ground* Is too late. Your friend already is ash.
*the smoke clears to find nothing, then Jax uses a night shade technique on Karloff, darkening the area around his head and dealing a little bit of damage* you can't burn shadows!
Karloff: I can burn anything. *spins around, creating a vortex that blows Jax back into a wall*

Peeko: Hmpf! Haaaaa! *runs up to Karloff, jumps into the air and kicks his head* Mega kick!

Karloff counters by striking with his forearms, delivering massive fire damage
Jax: rrgh... shadow sneak! *melts into the shadows, and wraps up Karloff's legs, tripping him*
Karloff: Oof! Silly shadow monkey. *his pants ignite, and Jax is blasted with the fire that is Karloff's leg hair*

Peeko: Grrr. *starts charging an aura sphere*

Karloff: Hm. *starts charging up a powerful fire blast*
Jax: Uh...*tries to charge up a shadow ball*

Meanwhile, in the alley behind the museum that the back exit leads to
Ophelia: we made it... I hope Jax and Peeko are okay...
???: tell me, please. What is going on?

Peeko: Aura sphere! *shoots a large sphere of aura power*

Cole: Well, the long and short of it is that some bad people are after some artifact that can make them change their type on a whim and use it for personal gain and you might be that artifact.

???: I'm an...artifact? Are you saying I'm old?
Ophelia: well...perhaps. it's complicated and I'm not sure of the specifics myself.
Dark smoke pours up from the ground in front of them and Valerica saunters out of it, twirling her parasol
Valerica: Now now what do we have he-*notices the dragon girl* Why is she naked? ....Wait...the artifact! You hatched it! How?!
