Cole: Yeah, we need to get a hold of him. We need answers.
Peeko: What you need right now is to heal up. So do that and leave the worrying to me.
Cole: You're not a worrier though. Way too optimistic.
Peeko: I know. ^ ^

Later on, when Ophelia and Cole are alone in the room
Ophelia: So...now that we have time to kill...why don't we get to know each other better? What was your childhood like?

Cole: It was fun for the most part. I always hung out with Peeko. We'd always play games together. Of course, she'd always get hurt and cry, but that's how she is.

Ophelia: I see. You and Peek must have a close bond. Are you...together?

Cole: No, of course not. I don't have any feelings for her.

Ophelia: Ah, I see. What were your parents like?

Cole: They were okay for the most part. Good people. My mother was sweet and my father was kind but still firm where it needed to be. My mother was the same way, too. If I got in trouble with one, I'd get in trouble with both. *chuckles*

Ophelia: Where are they now?

Cole: Still at home. Dad still has his fishing lure business of course. He ran a shop since I was roughly five. He was beyond elated when he first bought that old place. I swear you could see that smile beaming from way up in the sky.

Ophelia: Hm. *smiles warmly at the thought* He sounds delightful.

Cole: What about you? What was your childhood like?

Ophelia: Well my parents ran the apothecary in Jadepetal. They were the kindest souls in the world, and would treat any illness without asking for pay. They took in Jax, as you know. But eventually, a sickness broke out in town that they couldn't cure, and they themselves were taken by it. It's been contained since then, and I've devoted my time to research a cure for it, while running the apothecary.

Cole: Are you close at all? Is there any progress on it?

Ophelia: No...it's this unstoppable pathogen that disables the immune system and ultimately causes cardiac arrest. I haven't been able to make any progress on it...

Cole: Oh... I see. *looks down at his blanket* That's quite an undertaking.

Ophelia: But...for right now, this whole "artifact" situation is more important. Oh well...I'm sure I'll figure it out some day. You know...I don't want you to feel like you're forced to do all this. You can leave any time if you want to.

Cole: I'm sure Peeko would want to see it through to the end. She likes helping people and she'd be sad if I didn't stick by her.

Ophelia: Of course. She's adorable, and a tenacious fighter.
Later the next day, Eliana wanders into their room, and sits down between Ophelia and Cole
Ophelia: Oh, hello Eliana! Or should I say...princess?
Eliana: Back when you were fighting Valerica...you had just met me, you defended me with your lives. ...Why?

Cole: Well, we didn't know what you were or what Valerica wanted with you. All we knew was that she wanted you for evil deeds and we couldn't let her have you.

Ophelia: She called you "princess"...what did she mean by that?
Eliana: I don't know...I don't remember anything from before I was put in that egg...
Ophelia: Oh, also, why were you naked?
Eliana: I just like being naked is all...clothes are really uncomfortable...

Cole: I thought it was just as a way of being born again, I suppose. Seeing as she has no recollections of anything prior to being put in that egg, like she said.

Eliana: Dragon types are hatched from eggs, but this was a special artifact used for indefinite preservation.
Ophelia: That's...amazing! We could study this artifact! It could solve so many problems in the world!

Cole: It could solve problems? Like what kinds?

Ophelia: I don't know, stuff like long term disease research or indefinite human preservation!
Eliana: Er, well it was broken to free me.
Ophelia: ...Oh.

Cole: Right, well I guess that's out the window anyway.
