Lore: 3boot(it's like the Reboot, but 2 more!)

Proxzki:Well...that sounds kind of boring. Might be better than sitting here though. What do you guys think about going on over there?

Layla: Giant insects.....giant insects attacked the last town we were in. We must investigate! *gets out of the pool, a bit nervously, blushing a bit, while throwing on her robe and her circlet*

Proxzki:Great. ^ ^

He pulls himself from the pool and dries himself with a makeshift towel before putting on his clothing, all of these items having been sitting behind a large nearby rock.

(most of the city is broken down/destroyed/on fire and crawling with giant scorpions)
Baird: Gods be good....

Chris:Again?

Layla: I am going to need my strongest elemental for this. *summons a huge eagle-looking thing made of energy and stormclouds* My storm elemental. *gets on its back* I need to mount it in order for it to function. It's a range thing. *flies off toward the scorpions*
(the eagle fries the nearest scorpion with bolts and arcs of lightning from its flapping wings)

Chris:Wow.*transforms and With Crush starts attacking the Scorpions* Layla is really Impressive.

(later in the battle, further into the city, Layla's storm elemental swoops down, and pierces the head of a scorpion with a bolt of lightning, but is hit by its swinging tail, sending Layla careening to the ground. She is then run through with the slightest tip of the scorpion's poison barb, through her chest, then the elemental fries it with lightning before disappearing)

Chris:*seeing that Lyla is in serious danger Chris runs to find thel ocal clerics*Where could they be?*Finds Hana* Hana Lyla is in deep shit. Come with me.

Hana goes to Layla and heals up her wounds before getting her to the local clerics.

~later, after the battle~
(Layla and Hana are in the healing temple, Layla laying in a bed, with a bandaged chest)
Layla: Hana...you saved my life....do you...do you still love me?

Hana: Yes. Of course I do. *holds Layla's hand*

Layla: Hana...I think I am ready...*squeezes Hana's hand* I have realized recently that life is too short to wait for things like this. I think I have feelings for you...

Hana: I see. We can work this out together. *kisses her forehead*

Layla: Hana, I may not live much longer. The poison was not completely purged. I want to be yours, now. I will be your mate.

Hana: But we need to be able to live together, Layla. I don't think you're going to live any longer. *starts crying*

Layla: Hana, do not cry...I do not like to see it...*holds both of her hands* Dal'Virenni have a natural resistance to all poisons. I will live much longer yet. *leans up, and kisses Hana on the cheek* I am yours for the foreseeable future. *smiles*

Hana: No, we must try and find an antidote for you or at least something.

Layla: to do that, I fear we must first find the origin of these gargantuan insects. First Eldrora, now here. Something is wrong.

Hana: It is a pursuit I am willing to make if it cures you.

Layla: If I am right, the source will also have the means to obtain an antidote. But first....Hana, do you have a desire to learn offensive spells?

Hana: I feel like I must learn at least a few if I am to be useful to you and the rest.

Layla: It is not about "being useful", it is about surviving. I do not think I could bear to see you die.

Hana: Well there is only so much use my healing can provide you all.

Layla: Well, I can teach you basic alteration spells, such as Confusion, Hypnosis, and Invisibility.
