VKRE (RWBY story)

Rana: Well not until the airship gets here, I'm not dragging around some chick while we try to stay away from that guy.

Kara: Well it shouldn't be long, the pilots my family hires work-
(an airship zooms up overhead, and a voice yells out on an intercom) 
voice: Miss Citra, the airship you requested has arrived!
Kara: -fast. Huh.

Ellie: Wow, that really was fast.
Rana: Now all that leaves is us getting to it before that guy kills us.

Tyra: You, minions! Form a human shield so your superior and her new friends can escape!
(Tyra's goons run away)
Tyra: Cowards!
Kara: Isn't it time you knocked her out? *grabs onto the rope ladder lowered by the airship*

Rana: Yeah, I suppose it is.
She bonks Tyra's head with her hammer, knocking the woman out cold before climbing up the rope herself.

Kara: C'mon, let's go! *helps Rana carry Tyra up to the airship* Val, you coming? 
Valerie: ....yeah. *climbs aboard*
(when everyone else is aboard, the airship heads back to Haven, and Valerie is sat sullenly staring at her discs, a sense of vague dread in her face)

Rana: Hey, don't let what that creepy guy said get to you.

Valerie: But...what if he said was true? If my weapons are capable of doing....whatever his knife did. It's...monstrous...
Kara: Well, it would be a potent edge in tournaments...

Ellie: Not exactly helping, Kara.
Rana: So what if they can do that? The difference is that you're able to control yourself so that you wouldn't do that.

Valerie: That guy could control himself, too. He was fully aware of all of his actions! What if...what if he follows us?

Rana: That wasn't what I meant. And I suppose we'll notify the teachers of this guy's weapon power, or something.

Kara: I dunno...Professor Chim told us not to do anything stupid, and this is definitely something stupid. 
Valerie: I don't care. This guy has some kind of weapon that can totally ignore someone's aura, this is too dangerous to just forget about. We have to tell her.

Ellie: Definitely. It's best for them to know now so they can prepare for this instead of later on when it becomes a bigger problem than it is now.

(later, in Professor Chim's office, team VKRE are sitting opposite her at her desk)
Chim: ..........
Valerie: Um...Professor? You've been quite for a while now...
Chim: Do you really expect me to believe all of this?

Ellie: Yes, yes we do.
Rana: It sounds crazy, but it's true.

Chim: ...*sighs* Students, the only word I have here is that of a team of wild students who thwarted a wanted crime boss, and that same crime boss, who is now in police custody. So forgive me if I seem unwilling to blindly accept it. 
Valerie: But professor-
Chim: You've all had a long week. I suggest you go back to your dorms, rest, and focus on your studies.

Rana: *Sighs* Yes professor Chim...

(on the way back to their dorm, they meet up with team SNNY)
Sangmu: Hey, you guys are back! What happened? 
Kara: It's...a long story.
Valerie: Abridged version: this criminal kidnapped my mom, and took her to the ruins of this ancient city, we followed and stopped her, but they let loose this crazy ancient warrior guy with a knife that can cut right through people's aura.
Kara: That...wasn't really abridged, that was the full version. 
Valerie: Oh, whatever. 
(Sangmu just stands there, mouth agape)
Yuri: That's...quite a story.

Rana: You don't believe us either, do you?

Sangmu: I mean...a knife that can cut through auras? It's really far fetched. 
Valerie: *sighs* Figures you wouldn't.

Natalie: I kinda believe them.
Rana: You do?
Natalie nods.

Sangmu: Well, even if it were true, what could one crazy guy with a knife do against an entire academy of training hunters? 
Valerie: Yeah...I guess you're right.
Kara: C'mon, let's go do something fun!

Nadia: Like what? What'd you have in mind?

....
Kara: I don't really know. I figured someone else would have an idea. 
(Yuri notices a notice board on the wall, and points to one of the fliers)
Yuri: Looks like an annual dance is coming up.

Ellie: Annual dance, huh? But.....do we have anyone that we can dance with?
Rana: Well if we can't find anyone, there's always each other. *Shrugs*
