LORE*

Andrea looks to where Ni went before looking at the store where Yuki went; she shrugs and simply leans against the wall. Pulling out her purse, she shuffles through it for a second before pulling out her composite bow to look over it a little.

Ni comes back and out of curiosity, looks at the bow before Andrea.
"Uh, actually, I decided I'd be going home today. If that's fine with you. I'll talk to Yuki about it in a bit...so are you fine with that?"

Andrea: Hmm? Well, you don't really need to ask if it's okay with me, but yeah, I'm fine with it. >.>

Yuki: *comes out holding a bag* OK. ^ ^ So what are we doing now?

Andrea: Well Ni said that she was heading back to her home.

"Oh I meant if it was fine for you guys to come with me, since...you might have stuff to do and stuff. Y'see there's this monster in my town, and he's been killing people and the farms, so I've been trying to kill it for a while but I don't think I can do it by myself."

Andrea: Oh, you want us to come back home with you? Okay then.

"Sure, we can do that, that's fine with me. Always up for an adventure."

"Okay, thanks guys, really appreciate it. So do you guys have to let your parents know before you go? Maybe pick up some supplies? It'll probably take us about a day to get there."

Andrea: No, not really. >.>

"Yeah, they know I'm always out adventuring. Last week I went to search for buried treasure. But I never got any." Yuki hung his head.

"Alright, well if we're ready let's go.", Ni turned and headed towards the nearest gate to leave the city.

Yuki: OK! ^ ^ *follows Ni*

Andrea smiles as he follows Yuki and Ni.

Ni: So do you guys know what a gax is? I'd like for you to know what you're getting into before we really get too far from here.

Andrea: I've heard about them, but I don't really know what they are.

Ni:Well, they have stone-tough skin, and resemble zards, but are not. They have highly corrosive poison in their blood, their bone, their skin. Everything. They don't come above ground often, but when they do, they're the worst kind of pest.

Andrea: I see.

Yuki: Well I'm sure they can be killed with magic.

Ni:True. Haven't heard of a problem magic couldn't fix. Never knew people were so helpful outside of my town. There were a lot of time we could've used help.

Yuki: Guess you guys just asked the wrong people.

Andrea: Don't worry about it now. We'll help. ^^

Ni:Nah, people mostly kept to themselves around there. No one ever asked for help. Nice to know I could find help though.

Half a day later, they arrive to the village. It's a ghost town, whose only residents are the bones of the departed and the flies that feast on what little remains of the bodies they supported. The crops have disappeared, leaving behind dirt expanses with no purpose. Only the few torch-posts lining the makeshift streets provide the light necessary to view the path ahead, as the overcast clouds are shrouding the moon and withholding its comforting light.

Walking through the town, the signs of struggle are old but clear. Dried blood dots parts of the street and buildings, windows are broken, impacts and slashes from weapons in the wood are present.

Ni:What happened here? I don't get it...

Yuki: it seemed to have been a massacre of some sort here. A shame.

Andrea: Well, it's obvious that we won't be finding anyone here.
Andrea looks around as he readies a gunk (sticky goo) arrow.
Andrea: Think one of those things is here?
