M. Lore

In the year 3190AX, a new planet has been discovered and it was rich with an ore that provided much more clean power than anything Lore ever had. It was then that many mining companies launched ships there. For years, the mining companies all mined the planet of Karreno peacefully. Until the mega-company Steel Mallet Industries took over all mining operations and bought out all rival companies on the planet and began sending military-esque ships there, with the intention of protecting miners from "hostile actions". Truthfully, the soldiers were being sent to enslave the Karrenites, the planet's human-like intelligent species to work for them. This then sparked a war between Steel Mallet Industries and the country their headquarters was in on that planet. Then, the Lore military came onto Karreno to try and settle the dispute, but ended up making things much worse and got themselves involved. Among the first batch of Lorian soldiers sent to Karreno, was Lieutenant Colonel Jack Russell. He and his men suffered a terrible defeat in the hands of the Steel Mallet private army and was forced to flee to Lore. But soon after, the war into the Lorian atmosphere as the Karrenites invaded Lore. This now brings the story to its present stage. Jack Russell has since had a family on Lore after retiring from combat. However, he was not satisfied with just his tour of service on Karreno. Since the Karrenites took the fight to his home planet, he had to do something. He had lost his wife Maria to a Karrenite attack when Eve was just an infant. Now in Cobbleton, he and his now twelve year old mecha pilot daughter decided to form a resistant group designed to stop the fighting on both planets. They met their chief mechanic Lily sometime after coming to this decision and the three of them took an old abandoned military hangar carved into a rolling grene hill miles outside Cobbleton as their base of operations.

~Present day~

The three are now driving in a car, Lily driving with Jack reading a news paper on a holographic device and Eve in the back seat.

Lily: So what are we doing here in Stoneville again?
Jack: Papers say there was a guy from the Lorian military who crash landed somewhere around this town. He also got discharged. Authorities are all saying he tried to kill himself. but if he's still alive, I figured we could use a man with military training in our group. There's only so much Eve can do and we need as many warriors as we can muster.
Lily: Okay, I guess we should try and look for clues about him?
Jack: No. Because he's right there. *points out the windshield of the car toward Jenghas, sitting by the road*
Lily: Oh shoot! *stops the car right up beside Jenghas* Hey uh...
Jack: We heard you got discharged from the military. You still wanna do some fighting?

(Jenghas, who was previously downing some unidentifiable high-proof alcohol from a flask, slowly looks around, and then back at Jack and Lily)
Jenghas: .......*puts down his flask* You with the press? No interviews. Go away.

Jack: We're not with the press. Thirteen years ago, I fought with the Karrrenites and the Steel Mallet mining company and was utterly defeated. Now I'm tired of all this fighting and looking for able pilots that can help me to stop the fighting. You in or not?

Jenghas: So....to stop the fighting....you want to fight. *looks down at his flask, then back at Jack, then chuckles* Okay, I'm in. *gets up and dusts himself off, before getting in the car, sitting next to Eve*
Eve: *not looking at Jenghas, keeping her eyes on her book* Rum mixed with whiskey and tequila?
Jenghas: Er....what? *moves his jacket lapel to cover the flask in his breast poket*
Eve: the liquid in your flask.
Jenghas: ...how did you know?
Eve: I know. And you smell like a drunk.
Jenghas: *sighs* It's been a rough week.

Lily: Okay. So I guess he's it?
Jack: no. We're gonna need more.
Lily: my car can only fit so many people, Jack.
Jack: of course. We'll get the van later.
Lily: I thought you had that in for repairs.
Jack: It's gonna be out by tomorrow morning.

Jenghas: So how are we supposed to stop the fighting? Stand on the ground and yell at all the soldiers fighting until they stop?

Jack: intervene in military operations. We'll start small and work our way up.

Jenghas: Okay. So who are these "other people" you want to join?

Jack: Well there's also a young lady who's got a mech. Papers say she led a huge street gang.

Jenghas: Wait, mechs? I was a mech pilot! Best in my troop.
Eve: And your mech's been decommissioned.
Jenghas: Wait, how do you know that?
Eve: because you were thinking about that when you mentioned that you were a pilot.
Jenghas: ......*to Jack and Lily* What's with her?

Lily: SHe's kind of a psychic. She's also a mech pilot. Jack here trained her.

Jenghas: But...being a mech pilot requires physical strength...
Eve: My mech has special controls that utilize my powers. Basically, I can control my mech with my mind.
Jenghas: ....uh huh. So....who else are we picking up?

Jack: We'll try and talk the leader of the street dragons. Or rather, the former leader.
Lily: That girl who appeared on the news a year ago?
Jack: Well, actually, i'd like both of them. i heard that both are good mech pilots themselves.

Jenghas: Wait....that Fierce Massano chick? Um...why would you want a street gang leader in your special 'pro-justice' team?

Lily: I have no idea. Lemme guess, you want someone who can handle a light-weight mech, is that right?
Jack: Who knows? maybe she's reformed herself by now?

Jenghas: Well, you've already messed up with me. I don't even have a mech anymore.

Lily: What do you mean?
Jack: it's obviously burnt up by now. You can use my old one then. Lily can just give a tune-up and it should be fine.
Lily: I worke don it last night.
Jack: Oh, well you can have it then.

OOC: It's conveniently your assigned mech, churro. I couldn't figure out how he was gonna get another so big whoop.

OOC: that's actually exactly what I had in mind. I didn't know how to bring that up without sounding controlling.

Jenghas: Huh. Well, what's its specs?

Lily: Specs? Ummm...
Jack: Here. *opens up her dashboard*
Lily; Why are you looking in there?!
Jack: i kept the mech specs all safe in here.
Lily: But this is MY car!
Jack: here. *tosses a folde dup paper to jenghas* She wrote them all down there.

Jenghas: Hmmm...*looks through the specs with increasing interest* carbon-steel plating...manual grip controls...hand-to-hand combat style...wait, "Medium" class? No such thing, it's just Heavy, Light, and Aerial.

OOC: now I think Lily should explain how it's slender enough to be Light, but it's so dense, it could be in Heavy, so they put it in its own classification.

Lily: Well that's actually its own class altogether.
Jack: Yeah.
Lily: See, it should be a light class model, but due to its extremely dense and durable armor, it took on the features of both a Light-class and a Heavy-class. So Jack here piloted the first Medium-class ever introduced.
Jack: Why smile at me? I'm retired now. Too old to be fighting anymore. besides, I don't want my daughter losing any more kindred.
Lily: But still....*looks back to the road* Yeah, you're right.
Jack: Besides, I'm sure Jenghas can more than handle my old partner.

Jenghas: Only one way to find out...*closes the specs hologram and puts it in his jacket pocket*

Jack: Yep.
Lily: Wait, how are we gonna find out?
Jack: *shrugs* We'll work it out somehow.

Jenghas: ...what do you mean? Don't you guys have a base somewhere?

Jack: We do.

~Next day after getting the van~

The group comes upon Fierce and she takes them to her home.

Jack: See? I told you she redeemed herself.
Lily: *looking at the tea in front of her* I don't this tea is safe.
Jack: Relax. So Fierce, you got a mech?
Fierce: Yeah. *leads them down to her basement where they find her mech, much to Lily's surprise* There.
Lily: THE RADIUS!
Fierce: Yeah. How'd you know?
Lily: That mech is my dad's entire life! How'd you get a hold of this thing?!
Fierce: Found it in a burning building. Figured I'd take it for myself. Plus, I needed a ride back home.
Lily: Why couldn't you steal a car, you jack ass?! *starts crying* I was so upset when I couldn't find her. She was all I had left of my dad and she was gone and now here she is right in front of us in the hands of some jack ass criminal!
Fierce: Hey! I'm volunteering to help you guys. Least you can do is be kind to me. *crosses her arms*
Lily: But you never painted her or anything?
Fierce: Nope. I figured the white exterior made her stand out that much more. So I kept her the way I found her.
