Baird: We need to get you an antidote!
Layla: We'd need some of the poison from the scorpion to brew one!
Baird: Leave that to me! *jumps onto the scorpion, over to its tail, and cuts it off, the poison spilling out onto the ground, then gets a flask to hold some of the poison* There!
Layla: Now how do we make the antidote?

Hana: I....have no idea.

Chris:Getting the poison was the easy part.

Baird: Relax, there's an alchemist I know of in Elrun who I'm sure would be able to help.

Hana: Of course obtaining the poison was easy. now you need to hold your tongue, no stating the obvious things.

Chris:Alright.

Layla: *looks over the rest of the city* It looks like my storm elemental's taken care of the worst of it here. I suppose we can make our way to Elrun now. Where is it?
Baird: East. It's the port town where everyone goes for passage to the Rising Sun region.
Layla: Right. *recalls her storm and fire elementals, and summons her earth tortoise* Okay Chris, you will need to ride on my tortoise for this journey. You are in no condition to walk.

Chris:Thanks Layla
Crush looks at Chris with concern.

Hana: Yes. Sorry Mr. Bear. Let's go as quickly as we can.

(many days later, in Elrun)
Layla: Hm...this place seems untouched. Perhaps the scorpions have not reached here yet?
Baird: Maybe....now, the alchemist should be riiiight...*leads the group into a really seedy and run-down part of town* These are the Warrens. the slums. I have no idea why Old Matilda set up shop here.

Chris:I'm not sure about this.

Baird: No, it's fiiine, I'm sure. *leads them into the alchemist's shop*
(there's an old lady sitting at a table among books, scrolls, parchments, potions, various and sundry ingredients, a huge cauldron, and a brewing stand or two)
Matilda: eh? who's there!
Baird: *looks at Chris, and gestures for him to speak to her*

Chris: We need an antidote to Giant scorpion venom. One of them stung me.

Matilda: Eh? what're fire-ant thorn pylons?
Baird: GIANT SCORPIONS! ANTIDOTE!
Matilda: Oooh! You need an antidote fer giant scorpion stings? Well what were ya doing playing around with giant scorpions?

Chris: I got stung while defending a town.

Matilda: Eh! I'll need some samples o' the poison isself to make an antidote.
Baird: Already got it. *gives her the flask full of poison*
Matilda: *opens the flask to smell it, and cringes at the scent* Ehhhh, that's scorpion poison alright. Gimme three days to complete the antidote. Yew shouldn't be dead by then.

Chris:I hope not.
Crush helps Chris to a bed.

Matilda: EY! Not my bed you don't lay! This is my house!

Crush helps Chris to an inn,

(the next morning, Layla is sitting in the common room of the inn, silently eating a bowl of porridge, when Baird approaches)
Baird: So, I spoke to the captain of the watch here, and they haven't seen any sort of giant insects around.
Layla: This is good.

Crush paces the common room floor worried about Chris.

Innkeeper: Oi! Bear! Git the 'ell outta 'ere! Ye belong in 'ere!

Crush growls and waits outside.
