Jenghas: *kisses Fierce* I'll be fine. *gets up, and finds his trunks, then puts them on* Where's Akane? Is she alright?

Marcus:*Coming back in.* She's fine. Auri got her out.

~Ten years later, at the estate~
(After that day at the beach, Jenghas and Fierce forbade Akane from leaving the estate, to keep her safe. She's grown increasingly restless and fed up with this life of boredom and stagnation.)
(Akane, now 15 years old, walks by Jenghas, now 40 years old, who is sipping a cup of tea and growing a rather large beard. Today is also Akane's 15th birthday.)
Akane: So you're not gonna shave that thing?
Jenghas: Hm? Oh. *strokes his beard* If I shave it now, it'll just look weird. don't you like beards?
Akane: It makes you look like some kind of...bear-wolf...
Jenghas: *chuckles to himself* You didn't know that your father was a werewolf, in his adventuring years?
Akane: .....what? "was"?
Jenghas: oh, I had it cured ages ago. It helped to finally end my violent outbursts...
Akane: Let's talk about something else.
Jenghas: Okay, what's on your mind?
Akane: You gonna let me outside of the estate today? It's my birthday!

Fierce: *comes in wearing a purple kimono decorated with stars and clouds* Um, dear. A messenger from Northend is here to see you.

Jenghas: ....right...*gets up*
(a man clad in light leather armor and clothing hands Jenghas a scroll of parchment, and remains silent)
Jenghas: ...*stares at the messenger for a bit before unrolling the scroll. He reads it, steps back a bit, and clumsily takes a seat, mouth gaping wide* no...

Fierce: *grows wide-eyed* What is it, Jenghas?

Jenghas: My......my brother is....he was assassinated....what...what is to happen to Northend?
courier: The jarls have convened a moot. They voted to consult the runes.
Jenghas: the runes...what did they say?
courier: *bows* You are to be the next High King.
Jenghas: .........
Akane: ....*brightens up*does this mean we'll get out of the estate?

Fierce: *puts her hand to her chin* I don't know. But we will have to go to northend.

Jenghas: Hmm...*stands up* Northend can't continue without a king. Fierce, Akane, we must go.
Akane: YES! I finally get to go outside of the estate!
Jenghas: You, messenger, send a message to the Grand Magus of the Lazuli territories, that I-
courier: Oh, news has already been sent to them. And Elro.
Jenghas: ...why am I last to know, apparently?
courier: Well, it took a long time to get here. Rising Sun is far away.
Jenghas: Yes, well....no doubt Raiya, Zera, Mellow, and Gentle already know.

Fierce: *grabs Jenghas' arm* Are we going to move away to Northend, my love?

Jenghas: I cannot ask you to leave your home, but I have to fulfill this duty. But I ...I can't imagine leaving without you...

Fierce: We're always together, Jenghas. But now that you have to be a king.... What should we do? *starts tearing up*

Jenghas: *embraces Fierce* Here is what we'll do. We'll go to Northend, I'll be king, you'll be queen, and Akane will be princess. *smiles*

Fierce: O....Okay. *hugs him tightly* I'll be your queen, Jenghas.

~skip to passing into Northend. They're crossing the Elgard Mountain range(the mountains separating Elro and Northend), and emerging from a jagged pass, they, traveling on horseback, get a stunning view of the huge, magnificent sprawling tundra before them.~
Akane: ....*covers her mouth, eyes never blinking* By...the...gods...
Jenghas: *smiles* Welcome to Northend.
Akane: I've....I've never seen anything like this before...

Fierce: Yes, dear. This is your father's homeland. It's beautiful, is it not?

~Halfbark, the High King's Longhall~
(Jenghas, Fierce, and Akane enter the hall, among all the court, clad in back, with a few Jarls stood over a body laid before the throne, and a steward approaches the trio)
steward: Ah, I was wondering when you'd show up, your grace.
Jenghas: ..uh, I wouldn't mind if you didn't call me that.
steward: er..as you command. I feel your companions mi-
Jenghas: My wife, and my daughter.
steward: right right. I feel they would be best suited in the royal chambers, would they not?
(a Jarl approaches Jenghas as well)
Jarl: Indeed, for we have much to discuss.
Jenghas: ....*looks at Fierce*

Fierce: Very well. I will take my leave. Come along now, Akane. *takes Akane's hand and leaves*

Akane: But I wanna go out and explore!
Jenghas: Go with your mother, Akane. There will be time for that later.
Akane: hmph. *pouts, but goes with Fierce*
(after Fierce and Akane leave, Jenghas approaches the throne with the jarl and the steward)
Jenghas: *sees a cloaked figure in the corner of the the hall, with what looks like two silver wolf ears poking out of the hood* ...jarl Ogmund, who is that?
Ogmund: Oh, that is Mistress Karii, a representative from the Fenral Region. Doesn't talk much, but still holds an important seat at council.
Jenghas: hmm...
(the cloaked figure leaves the hall out of the main doors)
~hours later, in the royal chambers~
(Jenghas enters, sits on the bed, and places his face in his hands)
Jenghas: Udwark give me strength...

Fierce: *hugs Jenghas* How was it, dear? Was it bad?

Jenghas: Hullyn was assassinated. Assassinated! And they still haven't caught the assassin! Nobody told me that! What am I supposed to do? I can't sit on the throne knowing there's a poisoned arrow somewhere with my name on it!
Akane: well...what if you just catch the guy?

Fierce: i'm sure we could catch whoever killed your uncle.
