Pokemon: Amethyst Redux

Aki: Um....okay? Lead the way.

scientist: Say, there's an old abandoned building just outside the city, in Route 5. Some townsfolk have seen shady characters going in and out there...
Danny: Then that should be our best bet.
scientist: Of course, the way is blocked by a rockslide...maybe a Pokemon can smash through the rocks? Eh, I couldn't do it myself, I don't have a Pokemon or the Vapor Badge, given by Raine, the Gym Leader of this town, because you can use Rock Smash out of battle if you have it. *shrugs* Eh.
Danny: ...-_-
scientist: Oh, we want the data that those guys stole back, too. It contained plans for gathering energy from splitting H2O particles.

Aki: Okay, we will sir. *To Danny* You wanted to talk to me about something?

Danny: I think you may be confused about genders. *points at Lia* that's a female. *points at himself* This is a male...

Aki: Huh? You sure Danny?.?

Danny: Are you?

Aki: Well my parents told me that I was a girl.

Danny: Well they were obviously lying to you....I can tell that you're a guy...
Lia: ....O_o ...I was naked in front of you!
Danny: WHAT.

Aki: What makes you say that, Danny?

Danny: Well, I just thought you should know that you're actually a guy...

Serena:She's not.

Danny: Look, I know these things. I'm good at reading people. I'm very...perceptive. and I can tell that Aki is male. Does he need to strip for us?

Aki: But mom told me that a girl should never strip in public. ./////.

I know I didn't voice my opinion when this was actually discussed yesterday, but I'll just say it right now. I don't think parents would be mean if they lied about their child's gender. Rather, I think they'd be mean if they straight out didn't tell the child what gender it was.

both of those things are mean and cruel and twisted and weird....imo....

Danny: But you're not a girl! -_- Okay, this is getting weird. Let's move on. But I'm not dropping this!

Serena:You should drop it.

Riley: Yeah, Aki's a boy too, i'm sure. but whatever.

Serena:How can you be sure Riley?

Aki: Um....if you say so... >.> Let's just go find the Pokemon Center and the gym.

Serena:And My cooking contest.

Danny: We've no time for that. We must get the data back from Team Nova!
scientist: *slaps his forehead* Oh, right! Gym! RAINE!
(the gym leader, in a blue, two-piece swimsuit and a labcoat, with long flowing blue hair, steps up from behind a computer)
Raine: Yes?
scientist: Challenger.
Raine: Ah! *sees them* Yes! Please join me in the pool outside!
~outside the facility~
(Raine leads Aki to a large pool, with many floating pads)
Raine: This isn't some recreational pool, it's for researching marine Pokemon and their biology! Also, it's where I hold my gym battles! *Sends out her wartortle, which happily jump into the pool* Now then! I accept your challenge!

Aki: Great, I'm glad to be able to challenge such an esteemed trainer. ^^
Aki smiles cutely as he sends out Grovyle (it evolved while they were still in the forest). After being released from its ball, Grovyle jumps onto one of the pads.

Raine: Wartortle, withdraw, then rapid spin!
(wartortle jumps out of the water, withdraws into his shell, then speeds over to Grovyle, spinning rapidly, and striking him repeatedly)

Grovyle was knocked back into the water but it quickly climbs back onto the pad and grabs Wartortle.
Aki: Okay Liz, use Mega Drain!
Grovyle's hands glow with a weird green energy which spreads to Wartortle and starts draining its energy.

Raine: Rapid spin again, back into the water!
(wartortle, still in his shell, starts spinning rapidly again, knocking against Grovyle, and escaping her grip, then leaps back into the water, leaving his shell)
Raine: Water pulse!
(wartortle emits a powerful pulse of water at Grovyle)
