Lore Reboot Again: World Demon War

The clones explode into smoke, clouding the entire plane.
Drake: *coughs* Nice goin' idiot!
Fierce: I gotcha right where I want ye! *throws ninja stars into the demon*

(The demon's arm extends far beyond its natural reach, grabs Fierce's head, and slams her into the ground)
demon: Ha! This is the power of my thrall!
Kara: Errgh...I need to concentrate for this technique to work...*clenches her eyes shut and grits her teeth* ......Focus Punch! *punches toward the demon, and a huge, long arm made up of ki energy strikes into the demon and destroys it from the inside out* It's...done...*collapses back into her chair*

Drake: *hugs Kara* Are you okay?
Gentle: Yeah, now hold her still, bro. *shoots Kara with healing spells*

Kara: Ow! What was....huh...doesn't hurt anymore...healing bullets?

Gentle: Yeah, healing bullets. Only stings at first. Your wound's all sealed up and healed now. ^ ^

Kara: Y'know what I'm not even going to question how those work, it feels amazing. *looks at the smoldering goo that was once the soldier demon* Just one of those things is hard enough to take down...and Veron's raising an army of millions of them...

Auri: If I breathed deep enough, I bet I could shoot out a beam that could stretch for miles!
Fierce: Let's not let ye hyperventilate, sis.

Kara: Let's focus on killing Veron before he summons the army...
Isan: Did you guys catch what they said about "thralls"? It seemed like they were using lesser demons to give themselves specific abilities...

Auri: That's new to me.
Fierce: Huh. Like that one season o' TV super ninja where the ninjas used spirits in the form of small mechanical animals t' get different abilities and armors. Like that season's lady ninja's swan armor.

Kara: Ooh, it's like that show Momo's Weird Misadventures where the characters had these things that were extensions of one's soul, granting them special abilities!

Drake: Oh, I know that show!
Fierce: >.>

Kara: Oh, really? That's awesome! I never meet anyone who also likes it, it's so obscure! Jenghas hates that show.
Jenghas: Can we focus on not dying, please?
Kara: Eh?
(an alarm goes off on the plane console signifying rapidly declining altitude)

Dante: Crap! *gets into the pilot seat and pulls up on the lever* Go up! Go up!

(the plane pulls up and levels safely)
Kara: Yes! *hugs Drake* You did it!

Drake: Phew. My gods... Thanks, Kara. *kisses her cheek*

(Hours later, they approach Frostvale)
Kara: So the airstrip is just ahead. I tried to call in for landing permission, but I couldn't get the call in....I think it's because of this storm brewing...

Drake: Really? Air control, this is Alpha-295, requesting to land... Wow, no response, you're right.
Fierce: How'd you know the plane's ID?
Drake: It's in the manual here.

Jenghas: So what's going on?
Kara: I dunno, all we're getting is static.
(a bolt of lightning strikes the jet and blows up one of the engines)
Kara: And lightning! Shit shit shit!

Fierce: Abandon ship! *throws open the door and creates clones that jump down and shove over a set of stairs* Good werk! *descends the stairs in panic*

Jenghas: What the hell are you doing?! We're still hundreds of feet in the air!

Fierce: Later, shitlords!
Gentle: Fierce, get back-Dammit!
Auri: Is she gonna be okay?
Gentle: It's Fierce, she'll be fine.

(a loud "thump" is heard on the roof above their heads)
Jenghas: What the hell was that just now?!

Drake: We've got enough to worry about while I try and land this plane unauthorized. You guys deal with it.

Jenghas: I'll go check it out...*goes to the open door, and climbs up onto the plane's roof which is actually possible due to the winds circling the plane keeping him on the roof safely* Woah...this is really weird.
(A man with long, black hair flowing in the wind, clad in tattered brown robes greets Jenghas)
: I am Zemir, Master of Storms. Ray Veron has payed me a decent sum of money to defeat you and crash this plane.
Jenghas: Ah great. What the hell is your deal?
Zemir: I am not weak to the girl's ki energy, for one. *holds his hands out, and a bolt of lightning hits his hand, and redirects at Jenghas without harming Zemir*
Jenghas: Crap! *conjures his dagger, then throws it in front of him so it catches the bolt of lightning, then conjures his greatsword, lunges at Zemir, and catches his dagger on the way*
(Jenghas lands in front of Zemir, and does a low sweeping swipe which he jumps to avoid, then points a powerful blast of wind into Jenghas, sending him flying, but he uses his dagger as an anchor)

Gentle: Auri, could you go and see what Jenghas sees?
Auri: Do I have to?
