Peeko chambers her fists and starts charging blue energy between them.

Cole: You dropped it, of course. So I'll use it to defend my new friends.

Kubota: Whatever! I'm out of here! *turns to run out the door*
Ophelia: Stop! *controls vines that come out of the floor under Kubota and entangle his feet, causing him to fall over, then uses her vines to completely wrap him up*
Kubota: Ergh...let go of me!
Ophelia: What do you want with Elder Faryew?
Kubota: I...can't say...i'ts not your secret to know!

Peeko: *stops charging the sphere* Oh poopie. *pouts*
Cole: And what if we made it our secret to know, huh? A respected member of this village is possibly in danger now.

The vines around Kubota tighten
Ophelia: You'd better start talking.
Kubota: Ergh...it's an artifact....that can change someone's typing forever! To anything they want! The old man knows where it is...

Peeko: Wowee...
Cole: Don't get any ideas.
Peeko: Hmpf! *pouts and crosses her arms*

Later, after the authorities arrive to take away Kubota
Ophelia: An artifact that can change your typing...if some lowlife like that man knows about it, he can't be the only one. Something like that in the wrong hands could change the world!

Peeko: Howso?
Cole: Obviously world domination.

Jax: You could just use the thing as many times as you need to, in order to win every fight you enter! It's genius...
Ophelia: I'm not even sure how a thing like that would work. We have to go see Elder Faryew for more information...

Peeko: Yeah, I could beat that bug guy by turning into a fire type! That'll show 'im.

Ophelia: Hm. Or maybe we shouldn't if you just want to abuse this artifact.

Cole: I told you not to get any ideas.
Peeko: It's not my fault I'm a normal type! No one knows how strong I am! Or cares...

Ophelia: Now now, there's nothing wrong with normal types. Anyway, you two could stay here tonight, if you want. We'll go see Elder Faryew in the morning.

Peeko: yey! Sleepover! ^ ^
Cole: Alright then, if it's alright with you, we'll stay.

Ophelia: Good. There's a guest room you can stay in, in the back by our room.
Jax: And be sure to keep the door closed. You never know what's lurking in the darkness...*his eyes glow as he smiles from ear to ear, showing his wide teeth*
Ophelia: *face palms* And I'll make sure Jax doesn't scare you.
Jax: Hey!

Cole: If he does, I'll punch his lights out.
Peeko: But he's a ghost-type.
Cole: Electric can still phase him.

Jax: Ha, I'd like to see you try! *sticks his huge tongue out at Cole*
Ophelia: oh, Jax! *laughs to herself a bit* Now, would anyone like some fresh tea?

Peeko: Sure thing! ^ ^
Cole: Ah, yes please.

The next morning, before anyone wakes up, Ophelia sets to work watering all her plants, and singing to herself softly. She does so outside the window of the room Cole is sleeping in, unaware that she may wake him up at any moment. The morning sun bathes her in a unique, radiant light that accentuates her beauty

Stirred by the morning light shining in his window, Cole sits up in bed and rubs his face, groaning.

Ophelia: oh, Cole! Did I wake You? I'm ever so sorry.

Cole: Hm? No, not really, Ophelia. Just the sun, more like.

Ophelia: Did yo

Ophelia: Did you sleep well, at least? Were my accommodations to your liking?

Cole: I slept pretty well, I suppose. Thank you for accommodations.

Ophelia: any time. *smiles* it's always nice to have guests. So where are you from?
