Kahntoenn Destiny: The new Pokemon Shounen Story

Cole: Ironside. Peeko and I grew up in the same neighborhood.

Cole: Ah, are you two...together?

Cole: Oh, no, no. We're just friends. I'm not her type, apparently.

Ophelia: Oh really? And what is her type?

Cole: I'm not sure. I never did ask, of course.

Ophelia: Ah, I see. So what is yours, while we're at it?

Cole: Um...*blushes* We-Well....Uh....I dunno...

Ophelia: *hears the town bells in the distance* We should see Elder Faryew soon. I'll go make sure Jax doesn't scare Peeko again =.= *walks away*

Cole: Yeah, you do that. *stretches and yawns*

Later, they go to Elder Faryew's home in the middle of town. A large tree stump covered in vegetation and flowers, with a circular wooden door in the center that's covered in moss
Ophelia: This is the home of Elder Faryew. He's always given sage advice for the town.
Jax: Meh. He smells like old people...
Ophelia: Well I wonder why, Jax. Must be because he's old. *goes inside*

Peeko: Will he give us candy?
Cole: He's not your grampa. I doubt he has candy, Peeko. *goes inside*

Inside, they meet Faryew, an old man who is half-covered in mossy bark
Faryew: Ah, good morning, youngins! Would you like some candy?

Peeko: Told you! Yes, please! ^ ^
Cole: Ugh. *face palms*

Faryew: *hands Peeko an acorn* Here you go!
Ophelia: Er...Elder?
Faryew: Ah, Ophelia! Here for more potion recipes?
Ophelia: Not exactly. Yesterday we were attacked by a man who was looking for you. He said he was going to get information from you about where to find some artifact that can change a person's typing...
Elder Faryew's expression suddenly grows cold and distant
Faryew: Children, you are heading down a grave path that will change your lives and may very well change your view of this world. Do you truly wish to continue?
Ophelia: *looks to Cole and Peeko* You guy's don't have to go along with this if you don't want to. We're not forcing you.

Peeko: They attacked my best friend! I'm mad!
Cole: We don't want it falling into the wrong hands if people like him know about it.

Faryew: *closes his eyes* Very well. I trust you are aware of the dragon types that roamed the land in ancient times?
Ophelia: Yes, they all died out hundreds of years ago...
Faryew: It is because they were believed to have the power to change their typing at will, and if one were to consume the heart of a dragon type, they would gain that power as well. An entire race of people, hunted to extinction based on lies and superstition.

Peeko: Imagine if that were to happen to normal types.
Cole: Normal types are weak and uninteresting. You have no need to fear.
Peeko: Hey! *puffs her cheeks*

Jax: So what's this have to do with artifact thing our attacker was after?
Faryew: I've heard rumors that the dragon types left behind an artifact that held their power...I did not believe that it was actually true. But if you are willing, you must find this artifact and secure it.

Peeko: And I'll turn into a dragon type and then no one will make fun of me!
Cole: Let's not let Peeko anywhere near the artifact. If it exists.

Ophelia: So where is it?
Faryew: I do not know...the elder in the city of Cindervale will know more of this...
Jax: Cindervale? That's on the other side of the region! I hate road trips...

Peeko: I love roadtrips! ^ ^
Cole: Ugh, just no more singing. You gave me a million headaches on the way here. *rubs his temples*

Faryew: You must do this. If this artifact were to fall into the wrong hands, the results could be disastrous!
Ophelia: We'll leave as soon as we can.
Outside Faryew's abode
Ophelia: Okay. Jax and I will secure a vehicle, and you and Peeko should gather your things. We'll meet back here in an hour, okay?

Peeko: What about you guys getting your things?
Cole: Alright we'll get our things.

Ophelia: Don't worry, it'll be in the same trip.

Cole: Alright then. Let's get going, Peeko.
Peeko: Yey! Road trip! Road trip! We're going on a road trip! *skips away*
Cole: *sighs* See you then, Ophelia. *goes after Peeko*
