A huge mecha glowing with green lights barrels towards them surrounded by thorned vines, knocking Cole into a wall.

Cole: Gah! What the hell?!
Devon: Ha ha ha! Now say hello to my greatest creation! Well one of them, anyway. The mobile vine fortress! A brilliant marriage of nature and technology! By possessing this fantastic machine with my plasma body, I can control plant matter!
Cole: So then Akane can just burn the plants.
Devon: Oh, but I thought ahead. These plants are sprayed with a specially formulated version of my patented *says with a triumphant voice* Type Dissolvent!
Cole: What?
Devon: *sighs* I hate stupid people... The Type Dissolvent negates the damages and effects of types. It also absorbs up to ten tons of explosive power! And this whole base is also coated in a formulated wax coating too! You'll never destroy either my base, or my inventions! Mwahahahaha!

Devon: I only sprayed the outside of it with the stuff. Doesn't mean I can't open it up and possess the engine inside. *crosses the mech's arms*
Cole: So we just need to crack you open and destroy your insides. Sounds good to me.

Jax: Right! *goes into his ghostly shadow form and possesses one of the sentry guns, then shoots the others*

Devon: Maybe my plant machine isn't a good idea after all. Here I thought the sturdy vines and wood growth would work well against everyone. *sinks the entire machine into a shadow*
Cole: Heh. Running away. I wonder just how much of the place has has covered in that stuff though? Could there be any way to figure out?

(Ophelia shoots a cloud of stun spores at the grunts as Jax and Akane catch up to them)

The grunts yell in agony and then set off poison gas bombs.

Cole: *covers his mouth* Must've been ordered to gas us from the start. Akane, do you know a move to blow this gas away?

Akane: Er...how long do those spores last?
Ophelia: Long enough, trust me. They'll be out cold for a while and well...that poison gas didn't do them any favors.
