Ryan: Well they came under that way because they used shaped-based building. I'd think that would be a basis for that. I mean yogventures had blocks. <.<

John:Still, copying is a good thing if it innovates the thing being copied. A lot of things sink but some are improvements. And we all know Minecraft had lots of room for improvement. No one should've been mad about anything or pointing fingers.

Ryan: Yeah and it was always improving. Just that no one really liked it once it went under new leadership.

John:It really came under new leadership? I never bothered to look. ^ ^u

Ryan: Well this Jeb guy took over after release 1.4, I think.

John:Oh. I remember him...but that sort of thing was bound to happen eventually.

Ryan: That is true. Then he was just popping out releases so fast that modders could hardly keep up with the updates.

John:Well, best to get the improvements out of the way. He had to stop sometime.

Ryan: that is true. he added so many things though. It was crazy to try and keep up. And most of those things were just aesthetic stuff.

John:Too bad he never ended up adding actual fields of grass. TUG here had grass in its pre-alpha. Even was modded in pre-alpha by the Aether guys. All they did was add a troll-face block, though.

Ryan: Well I'm sorry to hear that, John. this project would probably take a lot less time if I had help but it'd be rather difficult explaining this stuff to others.

John:Yeah, only you'll be able to make things as you want. Though you could get someone to help make the same rooms if they repeat.

Ryan: Or just get a world editor and copy and paste the rooms? I guess that wouldn't really work?

John:Well, I guess you could but I prefer to build things with stuff I harvested. It makes me more proud of my work cuz I worked for it.

Ryan: That is true, but then it makes more tedious work.

John:Either way it's tedious to me, but if I work for it, I at least feel proud of it. But people use creative mode and map builders in minecraft for a reason. Although honestly if you're building the Death Star or Westeros I'd recommend using cheats cuz that's insane. ^ ^u

Ryan: Unless you had help which I'm sure you can get. Unlike my battle manor.

John:Well still, those are big projects. Battle Manor is a good time sink for ya since once you're done, what would you be doing?.?

Ryan: Work on another project.

John:=.= Well it doesn't matter to me, it's your stuff. I have no idea how much you have planned.

Ryan: Oh just this for now. I did build a tree fort a while back.

John:Are you gonna make a city later? Since NPCs handle most of the construction themselves?

Ryan: yeah, I might. it would be pretty cool. Say, can you alter the terrain under buildings without affecting them at all? I never tried that.

John:I suspect nothing would happen. Might be a mod that makes it so unstable foundation causes the building to fall apart, though.

Ryan: Might be true. i don't really look into mods for this game more than i do the sandbox games.
